"Who am I?!" I yell out pointing to myself. I start walking towards them.

"I am his WIFE!" I start pacing back and forth.

"I am his wife." I repeat.

He walks over to me and places his hands on my cheeks. I smack them off and push him away.

"Don't lay your filthy hands on me! You said you'd change! You promised!" I cry while running into the kitchen.

"Darling, calm down. Let's talk this through." He follows, trying to reassure me.

"NO!" I scream as loud as I could.

"You promised! And you broke it. You broke everything! You broke me! Now it's my turn to brake you!" Tears were flooding down my cheeks as I grabbed the butchers knife that rested in the drawer.

"You said you'd change! And you didn't! You promised!" I kept repeating to myself as I stomped over to the both of them.

The petite girl in my robe looked at me with fear in her eyes. She paused then took off, running out of the house and away from his mess; Away from my mess.

My husband was walking backwards until he hit the wall. "Honey, put the knife down." He held his hands up as if he were surrendering.

"NO!" I slowly moved closer and closer.

"You wanted a divorce? Fine, lets get a divorce. Just put the knife down, darling." He looked at me with guilt and sorrow in his eyes. I stared back, my face as cold as ice.

"I can't take this anymore. I can't, I can't, I can't..." I whispered to myself.

I inched closer and closer. My face was centimeters away from his. My eyes remained on his as I moved the blade of the knife against his neck. I pushed harder and harder with every breath I took.

"I'm sorry." he cried.

And with those two words, he fell to the floor.
He was gone.
The pain was gone.
And with his last breath, I was free.
