"What? Okay, run me through it one more time."
"The dart that I implanted into your leg took longer to take effect than it should have. You were able to run faster and longer than any other person I've ever seen. You were able to not only withstand but also block all of my attempts to telepathically invade your mind and you have an aura."
This spiel was just leaving more questions than answers in Taylor's head and she didn't know what to make of this information. Even though this was the 5th time Qiūtiān was repeating this explanation. Or maybe confession. He did just say that he attempted to 'telepathically invade my mind'. Should I be angry?
"Uh. Hello? Can you hear me? Off in your own little world, are ya? Yup, she's not listening to me. Wow, I really don't understand gir-" Qiūtiān was cut off by a large BOOM that was quickly followed by a CRASH before four black clad men would run past the.....IRON BARS? When did they get there? Then again the bars were the least of Taylor's problems as more loud sounds and explosions went off.
"What's going on?" Taylor squeaked. "What's with the explosions?"
"I have no idea." Well that statement was reassuring. Qiūtiān ran to the bars and shook them vigorously, but to no avail. The bars just wouldn't budge. Taylor walked over, intent on stopping Qiūtiān from hurting himself . She grabbed a hold of Qiūtiān's right wrist and pulled him away.
They then sat in silence. There was nothing that they could do to get away. If an explosion hit anywhere near them they were toast. So they just sat. Until Qiūtiān said something that interested Taylor.
"You could have saved so many people if I hadn't kidnapped you. But now the only protection that the world had from my father will die in a dusty old room without any idea of her destiny." His father? He then registered the information he just told Taylor and began to freak out.
Taylor could sense that Qiūtiān was about to lose his cool and covered his mouth with her hand. He pushed away her hand and looked coldly into her vibrant, green eyes. And almost melted. He didn't realise just how beautiful she was until that moment.
BANG!!! The explosion was so close that the noise hurt their ears and smoke started billowing into the room and circling their heads. All of the lights in the room and corridors suddenly blinked a couple of times before going out, leaving the room pitch black. Qiūtiān was glad for the distraction but also worried about the danger that they were in.
" GET TO THE BACK OF THE ROOM!" Taylor's voice cut through Qiūtiān's thoughts and brought him back to reality. He followed the auburn haired girl just in time. The place where they had been sitting just moments before erupted, leaving a hole in the wall for them to escape.
They ran down the corridors blindly until they saw light ahead. A large gap was in the wall where another explosion had gone off just before. They ran out of the building just moments before it collapsed. The two teenagers were panting from the fright.
But Taylor and Qiūtiān weren't allowed to rest for long. They heard a shout in the distance. Three men and two women came running after them and they immediately had the same thought. Fight.
They turned to see their enemies. It was a five against two battle but Taylor and Qiūtiān were determined to win. Fists flew, bones crunched and cracked and people fell. It was a fast fight and Taylor and Qiūtiān overall won but were a little worse for the wear. They ran off, not even caring about the fact that less than twenty minutes ago they were enemies. And certainly not caring about the fact that they had no idea where they were.

Author's Note
I hope I'm not disappointing you when I don't have as many words in each part as the last. Truth be told, I write until I've run out of ideas and when I have more, POOF there's the next chapter. If you do read this story please tell me how to improve. So I got this idea the other day. In the author's note I'll put in a connection question. Please don't be shy, I'd love to hear your answers. First one, nice and easy, 'What's your favourite song?'
Like I said, next chapter when I get any ideas.
