Repeat. Harry pressed the repeat button, listening to his band's own song, Once In a Lifetime. He couldn't hear that song enough today. Harry cried in his hands, sitting on the bed, your bed. You were gone, forever.
His happy little girl was gone, you had recently passed away. You weren't doing well and it all just went overboard.
Harry had cried the whole week, knowing he would cry even more doing this. He slowly got up from the bed and walked into his room. There he opened his closet, carefully choosing a black long sleeved button up, a black blazer with long black pants and black dress shoes.
It was as if his clothes showed his emotions and how he was feeling: dark and empty. He slowly got up, grabbing his car keys and headed out. He choose a black car with tinted windows. He drove up to the florist, and luckily got there when they just opened, 9am. He got the biggest bouquet he could, getting all assortments and colors of flowers, making sure to get a fair amount of purple, you favorite color.
He drove down to the bagel place, your favorite bagel place. He walked in, sounding the bells above the door signaling they had a customer. It was a small place and a family business and you respected the work they did and their bagels. Harry walked in, his face red and stained with tears.
The man said, "Harry, hi, what can I get you today?" knowing Harry not just because he was famous but because he stopped by often with you.
"Just a plain bagel, toasted with butter and a coffee with sweeteners and cream." Harry emptily replied.
"Okay Harry." The man replied.
The man gave Harry his order, putting on the counter asking, "Hey Harry, where's Naya? Is she okay?" concern written all over his face.
"She uh-" Harry muttered, tearing up. "She left...she passed on last week... she's gone." Harry said, crying lightly.
"Oh no." The man said sadly. "Harry, I am so sorry, she was a good girl. Here in the house from me." The man said giving Harry his order and an extra donut.
"Thank you Fred." Harry said, walking out.
Harry drove to the park and sat down on the bench looking at the lake and the animals. He was eating his bagel and drinking his food, lost in his thought.
I hope Naya's okay.
I miss her so much.
This is all my fault, if I showed her even more just how much I love her...
I could've done something, I could've saved her.
Harry snapped up, knowing he had to go. He got back in the car, listening to Once In a Lifetime like he was whenever he was driving around today.
He finally arrived, seeing all your friends, family, even strangers all dressed in black to pay their dues. Harry cried, not wanting this to happen, not wanting to do this.
All eyes focused on him as he walked up to the podium to speak. "Everyone, everyone. Hello, my name is Harry, and I was Naya's boyfriend. We're all here because of Naya Busch, that special little girl. I wish she realized just how much and how many people care about her, but I myself knowing from personal experience know it's hard to believe anyone loves you when you can't even love yourself. I first met Naya on Twitter. She wanted."
Harry said, tears in his eyes while chuckling. "She wanted me to come to prom with her. I was shocked such a beautiful woman, strong and smart and talented and brilliant girl wanted me to go to prom with her. Never have I seen so much determination, but I always saw it in those gleaming eyes and that booming personality. Naya believed not only in herself, but in others, and she did ANYTHING she could to help them. We've spent so much time together, and I will always cherish it. I just wish-"
Harry said, cutting off crying. "I just wish I had more time with her. I just wish she didn't leave. She was so young and she didn't deserve this. She downspiraled and needed our help, but we let her slip. She would've never let anyone slip, even a stranger. I miss you Naya and I love you with all my heart. Once In a Lifetime, you were mine..."
