Hijigin| Gintama Fanfic

1. The park

Gintoki leaves the convenience store with a sour expression after buying the new issue of shounen jump. He bought another one, he looks into his plastic bag
"I should really stop reading this already, I'm already at this age and I'm really not getting any younger."
Just when he's about to get going he bumps into a strange man wearing a messy kimono.
He seemed to hold something underneath his kimono.
Taken by surprise Gintoki falls down on the ground. And the man who bumped into him nervously runs away without saying anything.
Gintoki stands up and wipes the dirt off his kimono, he clicks his tounge while muttering a few words in annoyance
"no apologize huh."
He picks up the plastic bag and his sword.
While looking at the ground he notices some kind of red substance.
"Blood?"
He notices other drops of the blood coming from the park.
Gintoki sees more blood drops from the other direction as well, they came from the same direction he just came from and realizes that the blood came from the man from before.
"What happened here, a fight?"
Out of curiosity he follows the blood coming from the park to see if someone was hurt.
He would usually ignore this kind of thing but he was going to the vending machine for strawberry milk anyways so it couldn't be helped.
When he arrives at the park there is no one is there. He looks around to make sure there really was no one there.
He couldn't find anyone but something smelt funny, since he knew no one was there he ignored the smell and walked to the vending machine.
When he was about to put his coin in he dropped it on the ground.
Gintoki looks down on the ground and jumps back in surprise, on the ground there's tons of blood splattered everywhere and the smell of it is incredible, Gintoki smells all the blood and almost gags.
"What the heck is this!?" He screams.
His eyes becomes wide open and he quickly reacts when he hears heavy panting from behind the vending machine.
His breath becomes heavy as he walks to check it out.
His footsteps felt heavier than usual and his heart was beating like crazy.
He spottes a hand with blood under it's fingertips. "Wha-"
Gintoki walks around it and his already wide open eyes becomes teary as he sees a man he knows very well with a knife stabbed in his stomach.
"H-hijikata?!"
Gintoki falls on his knees as he notices the knife.
"H- hijikata what the heck happened?!!!"
Gintoki grabs Hijikata shoulders and keeps screaming his name.
Hijikata's eyes becomes teary and as he starts coughing up blood.
