Alpha Zander would be arriving today at 8pm. The whole pack has been a wreck but Alpha Holland had somehow convinced them that it was just a friendly visit that does not involve any form of violence, which is the only thing that happens when Alpha Zander is around.

My dad, Ricky Martin and the Gamma, Michael Moore, dad's close friend have been busy running around preparing for the visit.

The patrol over the eastern border has been increased because that is where Alpha Zander would enter our territory. It's Alpha Zander for God sake! One can never be too careful when it's him.

Our Alpha is in his office making sure all the papers necessary for the treaty is arranged and assembled neatly. First impression is the best impression they say.

I, on the other hand, am supposed to be out there helping my dad but he won't have any of it. He doesn't want me involved in anything that has to do with today's meeting.

I mean, come on! He's not even here yet. Helping a little is not gonna get myself automatically killed! My dad can take things up a notch a little too much sometimes. His protectiveness has just reached a whole new level.

So here I am, in my friends house, on her bed, thinking things through. Mostly about a certain Alpha visiting today.

"Do you really think he's coming here for the treaty?", Liz asked. I knew something was off here.

The big bad Alpha of the biggest pack in all of U.K. is coming for a treaty with a pack that is not even half the size of it. I love my pack though, it's a small one but highly respected.

"I don't really know what to think, Liz." And its the truth. Maybe signing the treaty was just a cover story.

Oh my god! What if he's planning to attack us after visiting the pack! Or what if he's really here for the treaty? Arggghh!

A thought then popped up in my head and I smiled because it does not involve the annihilation of my pack or any kind of gruesome event.

"Maybe he's here seeking for his mate?", I knew it was highly unlikely. Liz gave me 'the' look.

"Really, Lex? You know the rumors. It is said that he does not have a mate. She's either dead or he doesn't even have one to start with." Now you know why it's highly unlikely, but a girl can hope if it means the well-being of her pack.

"I really want it to be the reason, Liz. I don't want to be in the middle of a macabre or worst I wouldn't even know if it was a macabre or not if I was killed earlier!" My chest constricted thinking about all the piled up dead bodies, my dad, Liz!

Elizabeth knew her friend will go crazy if she worked that pretty little head of hers anymore.

"So tell me, Lex. How about we forget everything for a few hours and watch some movies!" It was not a question actually because what Liz wants, Liz gets.

I smiled and put aside all the bad thoughts about how the meeting could go wrong today.

"That sounds like a plan!"

"It is a plan, dummy! Let me get the popcorn!" I chuckled. What would I do without her.

"And don't forget my ice cream! I saw you had one just now!"

"Dang! You know everything about my fridge even more than I do sometimes. It's creepy." I gave her the creepiest smile I could muster and she rolled her eyes.

Five movies, three tubs of ice cream and four packets of popcorn later we began to doze off.

I guess all the thinking plus the junk food took a toll on our body cause we didn't wake up for the rest of the night until there was a frantic knock on Liz's bedroom door.
