Epilogue

"You know I still can't fathom how you guys mated long after meeting!" Sally exclaimed.

"I know right! If I met my mate I'm sure as hell locking us up in my room for a week!" Bailey shouted from the kitchen.

Zander and I can finally live peacefully. No more windows breaking in the middle of the night, no more guards swarming the pack house and definitely no more pissed off Zander.

It has been three weeks since Alzeus died.

Zander mated with me on that same day. He said and I quote, 'When you think of this day, I don't want you to remember the gruesome details of how I killed him. I want you to remember the pleasure I'm going to give you. I will not be having sex with you. I will be making love to you so passionate, so sweet you'll be begging for more. On this day, I will be taking what was rightfully mine all along.'

Our love-making sessions has been frequent since then.

Now we were in the pack house living room just talking and catching up and gossiping. They'll only be a while though.

Bailey is in the kitchen stealing food. It was all good until Sally brought up the mating topic. I'd rather her talk about her new make up kit till my ears bleed than this topic.

But who am I kidding. They're good friends. They really are.

"Hello! Earth to Alex!" Sally hollered in my face.

"What? Oh, sorry. Was thinking about something".

"What exactly?", she questioned.

"You won't believe me even if I say it".

"Well then say it and I'll decide whether I want to believe you or not", Sally said just as Bailey came with a handful of snacks.

I sighed.

"I was thinking about how you guys are my good friends."

"Awww, we love you too, girl", Bailey said as she brought us all for a group hug.

And we sat there for a couple more minutes talking until they had to go back home.

I said my goodbyes and started wandering around thinking about a million other things and one of them being about my dad and Liz.

They visited three weeks ago after hearing about Alzeus. Dad was furious Zander kept it from him but was thankful nonetheless for keeping me safe. Liz was also angry I didn't tell her anything but that didn't stop her from teasing me saying that I'm not so innocent anymore being that I mated with Zander.

They stayed for a few days before going back. My dad was more comfortable with Zander now. Liz was complaining how she didn't get to meet her mate yet while I'm already mated. She always wanted us to do everything together so she was a little upset when things didn't go as she planned. It took me hours so console her saying that she will meet her mate soon.

I smiled thinking of the trouble I went through to coax her.

I miss them dearly now although it's just been two weeks since they left. Zander was busy with Damien in his study. I didn't want to disturb him. It was well past 9pm so I thought of going to bed early. I didn't have much to do anyway.

Just as I closed the door to our bedroom and turned I shrieked immediately putting a hand on my chest to calm my erratically beating heart.

Zander was standing in the middle of the room in all his naked glory with his infuriating smirk. But upon closer inspection I noticed it was Xavier. His topaz orbs was glinting mischievously.
