My eyes were filled with udder terror as I saw the tentacles point straight at me. There were eight of them and two of them had rigid ends that were sharp as a knife. Could I really be seeing this? Is this even real...?
Ever since the incident I had as a child I had stop believing that any such supernatural creature existed. Not even angels...
The girl-or thing- laughed vigorously in amusement. It seemed almost as if this was a game to her. Just a short round of tag.
And I was it.
With a "swoosh!" a tentacle flinged down heading straight at me. My adrenaline suddenly had kicked in and I moved out if it's aim, dodging her attack.
Sweat rolled down my face while I tried to catch my breath. The ice feeling that had flown through me had melted, yet I couldn't shake the feeling of fear that gripped on me tightly.
A low, growling sound came out of her. "Hssssssss!..."
She was right behind me. I tighted my hands into a fist and spun around and ready to run. But she was too fast. A tentacle took ahold of one of my ankles lifting me upside down. I cried out and grabbed my skirt to keep it from falling.
"Dieeeee!!" It hissed and then effortlessly, she swang me like a tetherball; slamming me into a tree.
I let out a heavy gasp as I felt the trobbing pressure on my back. With a thud, I fell to the hard ground. I tasted copper in my mouth and coughed out blood. I could fell my head spin in circles and I staggered to my feet.
I have to get out of here... I thought. At least I could still think.
The thing glared at me. "Were are you going?" I tried to run, but my legs gave out sending me collapsing down. More tentacle came whirking towards me and slowly wrapped around my waist and wrists. My body started to raise up. I could feel her cold eyes still glued on me as I struggled to get loose from them.
"Such a stupid girl. You can't escape me. I'm a demon you know..."
W-what?
"I have ten times more strength than a human, so why even try?"
I opened my faded eyes halfway, to see the two sharp tentacles centimeters away from my face. By then, I had stop struggling for it was useless now. I just wanted this nightmare to end.
Then there was a scream.
I fully opened my eyes to see that there was no wounds on me. All I saw was two lights flash across my vision. They were blue colored. The next things I saw were holes her tentacles and black blood spilled out making the demon scream in agony.
I came falling down once more and then was caught by something. It was too fast to see what it was that had. It came to a stopping and looked at me. It was a girl. Her eyes were sparkling and her hair shining in the moonlight.
"W-who are... You?"
"Someone who had just saved your life," she replied.
Carefully, she laid me down not letting her eyes off me. I sat up, but then regretted it because pain had shot up from my back to neck.
"aargh!..."
"Be careful, you're hurt," she said as she gently pushed me back down with her hand cushioning my back.
"What... Is that thing?"
"I'll explain that later." Before I could protest, she stood up and then I saw the blue lights flash again. What were they?
I narrowed my eyes to get a clear vision of it. Sparks of the same color were pouring out of it. Then I saw it. They were guns. Two pistols to be exact.
She raised them up at a 90 degree angle facing the demon girl who was fighting against another girl. The girl had long red hair that matched the neon glow of her weapon. Her weapon was a bow and arrow . She looked much younger than the one who had just saved me.
"A little help would be nice right about now," she remarked.
"Yeah, yeah. Step aside and guard Mayu, I'll finish this." The last three words sounded full with anger. She walked up to the demon who was now on the ground with her side bleeding. Her eyes faded back to a blue.
"N-no. Please, don't," she pleaded. "I-I had no choice but to do it!!"
She smirked. "Maybe I should spare your life."
Her eyes brighten.
"Then again... You tried to kill someone very important. You do know who she is right?"
"You can't be serious. Her?"
"What?" she lowered a pistol. "I'm surprised you didn't know." Her tone was mocking. She pointed one of her guns at her.
One shot. That's all I need.
Pow!
A scream echoed in throughout the woods as black particles bursted from the demon. Part by part, the particles disintegrated her until there was nothing left.
I had watched the whole scene. I sat up, ignoring the fact that I was injured and went over to the blue-haired girl.
"What was that?!" I wanted answers. Even if this was a dream, I had to know.
I needed to know.
"..." She looked down at the ground. I can't tell her... I can't drag into this. Not her.
"Answer me!!!" I yelled. Confusion ran through my head.
She took in a breathe and exhaled. "You are one of them."
"One of who?" my voice grew small.
"Your one of the last of the three magical girls left. Me," she pointes at the red headed girl. "Her, and you. And you lead us. Were known as Heaven's Guardians. Our weapons," she looked at her pistols. "Were crafted by God himself to protect the world he made."
"No, that can't be. God isn't real."
She shook her head.
"But..." I quivered.
She took a step forward to reach out to me but I turned away placing my hands over my ears and closing my eyes.
I'm going insane... I must be!
Warm hands brushed against my hands and removed them from my ears.
"I understand if you're scared right now. What you are- or you will be- will be a dangerous route, but sometimes becoming something more can change things- for the better."
I glanced up at her. "What do you mean?"
"We are supposed to be the protectors of humanity."
That caught my attention. "R- really?"
She nodded. "But that's your choice to make. There's always others... However, they are hard to find. I'm not trying to pressure you here, I'm just saying what I've heard."
Maybe she'll say no.
"Ok..."
Maybe.
"That thing, that attacked me, said she was demon. Are demons real too?"
"Yeah, unfortunately. And so are dark angels along with spirits. Some sprirts are good, some are bad. It just depends."
"Don't forget angels- they're the good ones." It was the young girl again. She smiled softy as she said them.
"Right. Oh- I almost forgot," she pulled out a piece of paper from her sock. "here."
I took the slip of paper. "What's this for?" I asked.
"It's an address. Go to it as soon as you can. But come alone."
"Um, okay..."
She still didn't give an answer. I think it's best if I don't tell her why I gave her the address. I still feel worried about this, the blue haired girl thought to herself.
I folded the paper and shoved it into my shirt pocket.
Ba-dump, ba-dump...
My head pulsed with pain. I had forgotten that I had also banged my head when I was knocked into the tree.
"Ughhnnn..." Pressure bulided up inside me. I felt like my head would explode. I heard a voice call out to me as I fell to my knees. Clouds formed in my eyes, blocking my vision.
Then everything went black.

Moonlight shone onto my window casting silhouettes on my walls. I slowly opened my eyes to realize I was in my room. I positioned my pillow for something to lean against. I slid u and braced myself. No pian had shot up my back. Also, my headache which might've been a concussion was gone.
Was it really a dream afterall?
I laid my head back against the pillow and exhaled. "Thank goodness."
Tap! Tap tap!
"Huh?"
Tap, tap, tap!
There was a thumping sound coming from the window. I crawled over to it and peered out. No one was there. I opened it a little and looked out.
Boing!
A white furred animal pouned onto the window seel.
"Aaahh!" I jumped. I fell back and tumbed to the floor. I blinked as I found myself in a head- stand position.
"Puun?"
?!
I recognized that sound anywhere. There, laying on my chest, was Foxy. I scramled to my feet (after summersaulting backwards) and squatted down to face the baby fox which was now on the side of my bed.
"Pun! Pun!~" It rubbed her head on my cheek. I smiled and patted her head.
"Now..." I gave a irritated smile. "Explain yo me why you've been following me."
It sighed.
"I'm not gonna lie. I have been. But for a certain reason of course," it spoke.
It spoke?!?!
I started wide eyed at it my jaw dropping.
"What?" Foxy grinned. "Cat caught your tongue?"
I skidded back and pressed myseft against a wall still squatting.
I pointed at Foxy. "Y-y-y-y-you just talked!!"
"Well I guess I'm not your normal run-of the-mill fox."
"You're a demon aren't you?!"
"Huh? Wha-"
I grabbed the talking animal and held up a spray bottle full of holy water. "Tell me who sent you!!"
Yup. I'm losing it.
"You must be joking. Do I look like a-" water sprayed making water droplets form on Foxy. "WHAT THE HECK WAS THAT FOR?!?!"
I wasn't amused. "Just checking."
It shook it's head as water droplets came out of her fur. "Hmph! I expected more out of you."
I put Foxy down. "You don't even know me!"
"Wow, you sure had really hit your head back there pretty hard back there?"
"Uh..."
How did it know that? It was a dream.
"Oh man, I am so insane now. First a crazy dream, now a fox is talking to me..." I mumbled to myself facing away from Foxy.
"Mayu, you're not going insane."
I whired around, placing Foxy back onto the bed. I was only centimeters away from its nose.
"How do you know my name?"
Foxy just smiled.
"..."
Suddenly, a white light illuminated the room. I shielded my eyes as it speaded out wards. Seconds later, it faded out to reveal a young woman who looked like she was in her twenties. Her features were similar to her as a fox. Light blue eyes and snowy white hair. She wore a yukata that was also blue and white and her hair was pulled back into a high ponytail that was held up by brown chopsticks.
"Surprise~"
"Eh?! You're a human?!"
"Half human to be exact. I also take the form of a baby fox as you first met me by."
"But your ears."
"What?"
I gestured my hands above my head and moved them back and forth. "Your fox ears. You are half fox right?"
"Yeah, sorry to burst your bubble but I show my fox side in full form. It's all or nothing."
I gave a disappointed look. "Aw..."
"But that's besides the point. You're probably wondering why I've came here."
"Noooo, really?!" My tone was flat with sarcasm.
"Listen, I know this is sudden but let me explain: My name is Hatsumi. Hatsumi Miyuki. I'm the trainer of the the Three Sacred Weapons. The Angel Pistols, Spirit Bow, and Demon Blade. Each one specializes on destory certain supernatural creatures that try to harm. You, are meant to use the Demon Blade."
I speechless. Was my dream coming true?
Hatsumi stood up. "I'll let you to decide that. But choose quickly. There's not much time left..."
I didn't speak- or even look- at her. This was all happening to fast. Why can't it just slow down? I wasn't meant for this. I'm not type to accept things like this and have so little time to think about it.
"I'll be leaving now. Goodbye Mayu."
"Wait! I-"
She was already gone.
A voice echoed though me head like a conscious: Unbutton your shirt pocket. If you want to change, do it.
Without any further thoughts, my hands moved to pop the button and pull out what was inside my shirt pocket.
My faced turned pale. It was the paper that blue haired girl had given me.
"No... It can't be..." I clutched it tightly in my hand as a tea ran down the side of my cheek.
All of had happened the moment I stepped into those woods had really happened. All of it.
"It was real..." I whispered.
