The People Of The Town: Chapter Two

My name is missy. "Missy" is for mistake. I didn't get my name until age five.

   My mother died giving birth to me. My father died shortly after from depression. Who could blame him, he had lost his one true love to an unwanted child he was stuck with. After my father’s untimely death I jumped from relative to relative. I finally got to my Aunt Terry and ran away. She obviously didn't look very hard for me because I lived in a house just down the street for a year. I lived in the shadows scamming them for their money online. When I finally saved up enough to take a train to Parshel Town, I walked through the town for the last time.

   As I walked, I focused my eyes on some children my age playing hopscotch. I was very mature by then and I had barely even noticed them. But then they started whispering and pointing at me. "It's the mistake child!"

 So I immediately named myself Missy the Mistake child, but I just go by Missy.

   I ran almost as fast as possible

  I ran almost as fast as I had once before. I found the cabin and sat inside of it. I cried and tried to remember all the people who had died in that very cabin. But it was just too many names to think of
