JUNE
(Sarah's POV)
--
I open my door and pull my cardigan over my shoulders. I feel rough, big, strong hands come down on my shoulders.
"Happy Birthday." My older brother Jacob screams into my ear.
"Screw off." I groan and shrug my shoulders moving his hands.
He leans against the stair way, "you better get ready, mom has the car ready for you to go to the hospital."
"I'm not going." I groan and walk back into my room. I stand in my mirror looking at myself.
This is the year that I begin my "search". I have already gotten a few boys asking me to join their necklace, as if we could choose.
I have, I guess you could say, a desirable body, and looks. I have long wavy brown hair and green eyes. My mom is Italian, so I have very beautiful naturally tan skin, I am slim, a bit athletic and 5'6.
I start to undress and I pull on jean shorts, a tank top and a scarf. I slip on some flip flops, and pull my hair into a bun.
I walk down the stairs towards the car and sigh, "this is it..." I breathe out and head towards the door.
