Emma POV--
I walked past everyone, going outside and walking home alone. I've given everyone the cold shoulder. And it wasn't on purpose. I just want to distance myself.
I walked along the path, music playing from my headphones until a beep was heard.
I looked at my phone, Edward trying to call again.
I frowned, declining it.
It's been a full week since Ed and I broke up. Things have gotten real bad, too. I skip lunch so I don't have to be around any kind of awkward atmosphere, and I stay in Mr. Crowley's class, doing homework and whatnot. He even speaks to me sometimes. During the classes we have together, Ed and I don't speak to each other.
I've completely ignored him.
And after a few days, he did the same.
Angel still tried to find our what happened, but Edward says he doesn't know, and I don't wanna talk about it.
I walked inside, greeting my grandpa and brother before heading to my room. My phone rang again, and I saw Angel's number. Once again, left my phone as it rung.
"Please leave a message after the beep..."
BEEP-
"Emma! EMMA! I'M OUTSIDE!"
I raised an eyebrow before looking out my window, Angel and Gadiel standing outside with a phone.
"HELLO FROM THE OUTSIIIIDEEEE~"
she sang as I shook my head. I couldn't help but laugh as I went downstairs. I opened the door, seeing them standing on the porch.
"...wanna come in?" I asked.
"Ever since you left the city, you- you- you ~~"
"Emma-" Gadiel began, standing before me. "You have to talk to us."
"...there's nothing to talk about." I said, playing with the zipper of my sweater.
"There's obviously something wrong." His voice grew soft, and I couldn't help but frown.
"You've gotta tell us why you broke up with your boo and why you won't talk to him. Or us. We barely see you around anymore!" Angel said. There was no humor in her voice. My heart cringed as she spoke.
"...Whenever I think or try to talk about...I...I-" Gafiel handed me a tissue, and I thanked him before holding it close.
"...last week Tuesday, when I went over to Edward's. I saw Winry...and she told me she and Edward were together."
"WHAT?!" Angel yelled, cracking her knuckled before stopping.
"What?" Gadiel said as Angel shook her head.
I sighed, tears falling.
"I was dumb to think-"
"Winry was with me last week Tuesday." He said. I froze.
"She was at our house."
"...what?"
"She was with me trying to finish her homework... Are you sure it was her?"
"Yeah, she told me herself...and... Wait, I think.... But, oh no, we have to find Edward." I said, wiping my face.
"What's wrong?"
"My classmate, Envy. He told me his power....and. I think he's the problem." I said, my heart feeling some hope. "Cmon!" I said as we ran off the porch.
