Chapter 8 amulet

Shadow makes her way to the lake and as she walks their she sees a table set up with a candle light and Zack is sitting there with a tux on "what's all this" she asks laughing. "Well just a little something I just quickly set up." He says pulling a chair out for shadow. As she sits in it she sees a letter on the table that says read me. She opens it up and reads "your the love of my life and I wouldn't want anyone else and I want to make this moment to last oh Zack this is so sweet" she says as he sits down. "So Zack have you always lived in the city" shadow asks. "Yay pretty much " "then you probably never got to see this then have you" shadow says blowing the candle out. Then the north an lights begin to shine across the sky. "Wow" he says as shadow stands up. And walks over to a tree and leans against it. "I wish Anna was here she loves the stars." Shadow mumbles to her self. She looks over at Zack and sees him on his phone. "What's that" she asks him walking over to him. "Oh it's nothing" he says quickly tuning his phone off. Shadow glares at Zack as they here a scrape aching roar. Shadow quickly morphs into a dragon and pulls Zack towards her.she growls as the roar continues to echo. She watches the sky and sees the black figure fly across the sky. It passes over head 5 times before what it was lands on the ground in front of shadow. It slowly approaches. And shadow who is the only one who can see in the dark. She fires 8 fireballs surrounding the figure. "Then she lights a touch and gives it to zack and sends him to get Owen. Shadow stands there circling the light up creature. Her fire soon dies down and a fellow climbs off of the black figure. He pulls off his helmet and shadow is faced with an attractive yet brave young boy. He puts his hand out and looks shadow intently In the eyes. "Stat your name" shadow says pinning the boy to the ground. Then the dark creature pounces on shadow knocking her off of the boy. He then begins to fight shadow but staying close to the boy. He fires at shadow multiple times shadow dodges them. He soon runs out of fire power but he won't give up protecting his rider. The young boy pulls out a Sword and it is soon on fire. Then he presses a button and a green gas fog like substance is released. Shadow circles the boy and his dragon. She walks through the gas and the boy presses a button that creates a spark causing the gas to go up in flames. Shadow continues to walk unharmed bey the flames. "Fire proof" the boy says confused. "Who are you" shadow asks keeping her distance. "My name is hiccup and this is toothless my dragon" shadow stops and here's Owen and the others begin to drive up in jeeps armed with guns. She orders them to stop they listen. "Why have you come here" she asks hiccup. "We are in search of this" he says showing a picture of an amulet attached to a necklace. "And the map says its in the area" he says rolling his map up. Shadow stops and stares. For a second. "Yes I know what your looking for but you both are week and tired rest here you will be safe. I will come bey in the morning with the thing you seek." Shadow says flying off to ranger jeeps. As she lands she disappears into the trees. She morphs down into a human and Owen hugs her. "Who is that" he asks. "Hiccup and toothless" shadow responds as Zack climbs out of the vehicle." Darn I wanted this night to be special" he whispers to himself. "Why" shadow asks as Owen and the Rangers go home. "Well summers over and school is starting soon and we'll I have to go back to school and I won't be able to come see you on the weekends." He says sitting down. "Oh Zack don't be upset you need to go to school to get a good education to work here especially with the gallimimus the people who work here graduated from college sooner than there friends they got good grades then colleges recruited them and they got there forms and graduated" shadow says looking at him. "Is that what happened to your" "well it would have but I was already to intelligent for my grade and people complained about having a giant talking reptile walking around with them the nerds found it cool but it was unsafe for the other students." "Oh" "but Zack I want you to go to school ok get good grades and I'll be here waiting for you" she says quickly kissing his cheek then morphing into a raptor and runs off. The next morning Zack is at school and shadow returns to where she meet toothless and hiccup. She morphs into a dragon before she showed her face to them. She approaches slowly with her back straight showing her strength. She approaches as hiccup tucks in his wing flaps. "Hungry" shadow says tossing a bag of food to hiccup. It contained a meal from McDonalds. Then shadow also turns around and tosses a mouth full of fish for toothless. "How did you know he liked fish" hiccup asks. "All dragons do most of us only eat fish" shadow says laying down eating a fish of her Own. Hiccup soon finishes his meal. And then asks " did u bring the amulet" shadow twist her body around grabbing the small charm in her claws. "Is this what you meant" she asks holding the spinning gem in the air. "Yay" hiccup says reaching up for the amulet. Shadow takes the amulet and sets it in hiccups hands he struggles to hold it. " oh sorry here" shadow says talking the amulet morphing into a human. Hiccup stairs at shadow for a second. Shadow hands hiccup the amulet and as they do they both touch Hands. Hiccup looks up at shadow and she looks at him. But then a young rouge raptor runs between then and takes the amulet. " hay Liam give that back" shadow says morphing into a raptor racing after him. Shadow soon gains on him and she ounces on him. They both go into a dusty roll. Hiccup and toothless race after shadow to see if she's ok. As the dust clears shadow is standing on top of Liam one leg on his hip and the other on his neck. Shadow is siting there breathing heavy she uses her strong jaws to pull the amulet out of his mouth. She does this and morphs into a human and orders Liam to go home. Then she hands the amulet back to hiccup. He takes it and looks at it. "So what does it do" he asks himself. " that amulet is very special my sister gave it to me she says it contains grate powers." "Has anyone else come looking for it" "yes they have in ships two men actually one missing an arm wherein get a cloak of...." She pauses then turn to look at toothless. "Night fury skin" "Drago " "the other shorter very muscular not to bright and he never misses a shot if a dragon doesn't interfere" "dagger"" they asks politely the one you Clam as Drago he spoke little but was very brut the other he said my brother will be looking for this to but it will be to late he was a wired fellow" "what happened" "I saw darkness in there eyes they were strong together but separate, weak, I could tell they wish to harm dragons for they had dragons trapped in the bottom of there ship after I refused I had the amulet dagger he was relentless they attacked. They didn't mean harm they were just trying to get the amulet. I broke open there ship releasing the other dragons. They all attacked the to men. They escaped but without the amulet. You seem to know these men. Do you know what dagger meant by brother" "yes he says I'm his brother we were raised together but we are not related." "I wonder why he wanted the amulet." "I think this is why" shadow says grabbing the amulet. She places it on the ground then presses down the gem, the sides of the amulet fold open forming a flower. It begins to grow and a video hologram is projected The video plays it shows shadows story. Then once the video is over it closes its self. "What was that" hiccup asks. "That was my life story" shadow says picking the amulet up turning towards the back reading. "The ones who holds the golden light will win a glorious fight" "what does that mean the ones who hold the golden light....." "Will win a glorious fight some type of riddle." Shadow says offering hiccup the amulet. "It has your story you keep it" he says as shadow places it on the ground again. And opens it up. As the story plays she notices that each petal has a different symbol on them. She press down the petal with the fire ball symbol. It shows what looks like a fire ball attack. Then As the light fades from the amulet a stream of gold light flows into shadow. Then the light disappears and the amulet closes. Shadow stagers on her feet holding her head. Then falling to her knees. She morphs into a dragon then Carefully stands up. Hiccup watches shadow. Shadow looks at him confused and he nods. As shadow does what the dragon did in the hologram. And as she does she preformed the fireball attack. "No way this is huge fish legs is gonna have a lot of work to do in the book of dragons" "what's that""oh it's a book that has everything we know about every dragon we know of and now that we have discovered you a knew species this changes everything. I have to go get him" hiccup says climbing on toothless back. As he goes to take off shadow flies up in front of him stopping him from leaving. "Hiccup young one you can't go there's a big storm coming in you won't make it through the storm. " shadow pleads. "We can fly above the storm" hiccup says flying up. Shadow watches as he flies through the clouds. "Oh hiccup" she says slowly flying back on the ground. She morphs into a human and begins to walk back into the park as she here's toothless make a noise. She turns around to see hiccup dive down on toothless and pick her up. She graves on toothless leg and pulls her self up onto toothless back. "Hiccup what are you doing." She asks. He stops and toothless hovers as her turns round to look at her. "I want you to come with me come and see berk and meet my friends." "Ok I'll come but I have to tell my dad where I'm going. Shadow says sliding sideways off of toothless. She angles her self to dive straight for the ground. Toothless dives after her trying to save her. But just before she hits the ground she morphs into a dragon and uses the wind from her dive to pull her up off the ground into a glide. Then she flies to the raptor pen. Hiccup orders toothless to stop and wait for shadow at the tree. As shadow flies to the pen she lands outside and morphs into a human and runs to her father. As she runs up the stairs Vic is there as she turns the corner she stops just before running into him. "Oh shadow your back where have you been. " Vic says. "Let me through hoskins" shadow demands. But he doesn't let her. Then shadow takes a few steps back morphs into a horse and runs through Vic. Then she morphs into a human once she is past him. "Owen I'm going with my friends ok I'll be back soon I have my phone so you can call me. " she says hugging him. "Ok shadow" Owen says as she flies off.
