chapter 5 unexpected visitor

Owen hooks a rope to shadows halter and he walked her Into the trailer. As he walks back inside to grab the bags while Anna and Clair get in the car. They drive to the air port. And after a few hours they arrive at Anna's college. It's morning now and students are being to arrive at the college. As Anna and Clair get the bags out of the trunk of the car Owen gets shadow. As soon as shadow walks out of the trailer a group of students rush over to her and start asking Owen "is this the shadow from isla nublar. "Yay she is who do you guys no that?" He asks. "She's famous." They say. "I'm what" shadow says. Confused as they students freeze. "What never seen a talking raptor before" Anna says walking over with multiple bags. Shadow rushes over to help Anna. "Is she yours" they asks Anna. "No she's my sister" "your sister" they say surprised. "Anna come on let's find your room" Clair says walking into the college. They find Anna's dorm room and as they walk into it. A group of jocks notice shadow standing there. And says. "Excuse me but I think you did get the news" "what news" "a meteor killed all the dinosaurs your suppose to be extinct. " they say laughing. "Ha that's funny but you know why I'm not extinct. Mm maybe it's because I'm smarter than you fools" shadow says growling. The jocks stop laughing and back away as shadow walks towards them. "Shadow" Anna calls. "Your lucky" she growls as she walks back into Anna's dorm room. "Bey mom bey dad" Anna says hugging Owen and Clair. "Bey shadow" Anna says as shadow morphs Into her human form and hugs Anna. In knowingly the jocks were looking in Anna's room and as soon as they see shadow in her human morph there mouths drop. "Make sure you text me ok Anna be good and remember if anyone gives you a hard time I'm just a call away." Shadow says following Owen and Clair out of the dorm. As shadow walks out of the dorm she notices that the jocks fallowed her. Owen notices the boys watching shadow. He runs up to them and grabs one of them bey the thought Lifting them off the ground. Shadow here's the boy struggling to breath beside her she turns around and sees Owen."were you looking at my daughter."dad" shadow holders as she morphs into a raptor and races after Owen. The boy struggles to shake his head. "Stop" shadow hollers leaping on Owen knocking him to the ground. The young boy flaw to the ground as well as his friends rush over to make sure he's okay. Clair is soon over bey Owen as shadow climbs off of Owen. "Shadow what are you doing " Owen asks. "Saving him" shadow says backing up towards the boy. "From what?" He asks. "From you you almost killed him. "Shadow says as Clair takes Owen to the car. Shadow morph into a human and helps the boy up. "I'm really sorry about my dad he's really protective of me are you ok" shadow says to the young boy. "Yay I'm fine thanks to you" he says looking at her. "I.. I got to go" shadow says running into the car. "Who was that" the boy asks his friends."Shadow" Anna says. Standing out side. "You know her" he asks. "She's my sister" Anna says walking back into her dorm. "What were you think shadow" Owen scolds her. "I was saving his life." "He was fine " " Owen please stop being so protective I really participate it but I'm 16 Owen and I'm pretty sure me being a shape shifter I can take care of my self for a few days. " "I know shadow it's just I care a lot about you and now that Anna's gone your all I have left." "I know Owen" shadow says. "Owen today you have to train the raptors a new show routine for next week, then after that you have to feed the raptors then go to the carnivore cages and check there stability. I have to go to three different meetings then work in the control room, shadow your free today we don't have any raptor rides or tours scheduled today but keep this on in case we need. You" Clair says putting a little device on shadows ear. As they arrive home they all go to bed but only get a few hours of sleep. Clair's alarm goes off. And everyone gets ready for their day. Shadow wakes up. And as she leaves the house she decides to go to the entrance gate. On her way there she here's her phone go off. She looks at it and see there 2 messages. She opens both of them one is from Owen and it reads. "I sorry about how I acted at the college k love you baby bey" shadow responds. "It's ok " then she checks the other message. And sees a picture of Anna and her new friend the message reads. "This is a new girl I just met her name is Alex were best friends and I also got a boy friend don't tell Owen but it's the same guy he almost killed for checking you out his name is Kyle" shadow responds. "That's great Anna and he checked me out what does that mean. " as shadow sends this letter a notification comes up on her phone. It says. "Don't forget about Zack at the hatchery. " " oh I almost forgot." Shadow says as she races towards the hatchery she sees Zack and gray standing there. As she walks up gray Hugs her. "Hay gray so what was it you wanted to show us" shadow ask Zack. "Fallow me" he says. As he guides them over to what he wants to show them they pass a few pens and gray struggles to see the dinosaurs. Shadow morphs into a human and picks gray up and puts him on her shoulders. He points and states facts about the dinosaurs. Shadow laughs as she listen to gray. "You really know your dinosaurs don't you gray" "are you kidding I love them i do research about them every day" gray says. "We're here" Zack says as they walk into a flat open field. With three gallimimus standing there their with saddles and bridals on. "What's this Zack" shadow asks walking over to a bright blue gally "well I saw how much fun you had racking in the gyro-spheres. And well I thought we could race the giant turkeys. " "there not turkeys Zack there gallimimus" Zack says climbing on one. "Lady's first" Zack says holding shadows gallimimus. Shadow jumps and swings her lag over the gallimimus. " so you guys ever done this before. "Yay we've been mmmmmmm...." Gray tries to say but Zack reaches over and covers his mouth. "Yay we have been working with them" Zack says. As she here's a viewer say." Ready....set......GO" they all race off and shadow notices gray and Zack saying the gallimimus's name. And as they soon pass shadow. "Shadow looks at her gallimimus and he strudels to see. "Hay it's ok" shadow notices he is blind. "Listen to me go straight and run as fast as you can there's a tree behind you" shadow says as the gallimimus races forward. As shadow watches gray and Zack she notices there a few obstacles. "Ok boy there's a few obstacles but don't freak out just keep running and do as I say. Ready jump" shadow says as the gallimimus leaps off the ground jumping over a tree. "Great job ok two more ready dodge tot the right. Ok get ready your gonna have to slide ready now" shadow says as the gallimimus slides under a rock and shadow jumps off of its back and runs across the rock then lands on its back again. Now shadow gray and Zack are all tied up. "Last one ready boy it's about 3 feet tall when you jump I want you to use one of your feet to jump off of it to gain more speed ok ready now" shadow says as the gallimimus does as He's told. " yay great job buddy we one" shadow says climbing off of the gallimimus and congratulates him. "Shadow how did you do that He's blind he can't see" gray says. "No but because he is blind is other scenes are a lot stronger I told you there's not a Dino in this park I don't know and this guy he actually was abandoned bey his herd and barely survived until I took him in. And now look at him he's the alpha of the herd. " shadow says hugging him. Zack rides up next to shadow and says. "Well this is what I wanted to show you" he says disappointed. Shadow climbs on the back of her gallimimus and walks over to Zack. "This was great Zack I love it." She says reaching over and hugging him He blushes. "Well we better get them back to the pen before people notice there out. " shadow says turning her gallimimus around. "Yay your right" Zack says as he stands next to her. "Let's see if gray has been paying attention to the park" shadow says as he starts towards the herding herbivore pen. Zack and shadow ride next to each other. They soon arrive at the pen and as they remove the saddles and halters from the gallimimus. As shadow takes the halter off of her blind gallimimus it nuzzles her and she hugs him. Then he backs up and runs off. As shadow turns around Zack kicks a rock and gray asks. "What now" shadow looks at her watch. "It's late and I have to get back to work you guys should get back to your jobs to" "what jobs" "oh your both assigned to work with the herbivores" "cool hay shadow take this" Zack says handing her a price of folded up paper. Shadow looks at it and enters zack's phone number into her phone. A few weeks past and everything is the same shadow and Zack taxt each other often. And the last text shadow got from Anna was saying "checking you out means he likes you" Then over the weekend things change. It's shadows lunch break and she's hanging out with Zack and gray. Then shadow looks at her watch and says "If we hurry we can make it hurry get on" shadow says morphing into a raptor and races to the hatchery. She slows down at the entrance of the hatchery and stops as the boys climb off of her back. She walks into the hatchery with the he boys and two large body guards close behind her. As they walk visitors leaning on the glass watching the scientist at work. Shadow taps the class with her claw as one of the sciences come over to let her in. The body guards stand at the entrance pushing shadows fans back. As soon as the door closes the frantic screaming of excited fan girls leaves the room is completely sound proof. Shadow walks behind a certain and morphs into her human and as she walks out she grabs gray and zack's arms over to an incubator. And as Zack and gray look through the glass the incubator opens and shadow puts on gloves. The boys stand back and watch. Shadow reaches in and picks up one of the eggs. She holds it up to her ear and listens as she taps on the egg. "Here listen" shadow says as gray and Zack listen to the egg. Shadow taps on the egg three times and after she does something inside the egg taps back three times. "What are they" gray asks excitedly. Shadow holds the egg in one hand and in the other she watches as the baby Dino breakers a hole In the egg. Shadow then begins to gently and slowly pull the egg apart until the baby creature is In her hand. "Raptor" gray Sasha s the baby stands up and looks at shadow. "Moma?" It asks. "Yay baby that's right mom" shadow says placing her back in the incubator. As she does she here's Clair say through the tinny device. "Shadow we have a code 9" "oh sorry boys I got to go stay here with the baby's ok " shadow says hugging zacks arm. Then rubs grays head as she walks out. As she goes to walk out she morphs into a raptor and the news reporter ask. "Shadow shadow are you and Zack a thing. Are you dating Zack. Is something going on between you and Zack" shadow ignores there frantic questions as her body guards struggle to protect shadow from the reporters. Shadow sees the guards struggling she looks back at them and gray and Zack watch behind the glass. Then everything moves in slow motion as gray says "what are you going to do shadow" then she morphs into a dragon and grabs the men in her arms and swiftly flies out of the hatchery. "Yay that's my girl" Zack says. The reporters her him and turn to take photos but he ducks under a table. Gray stands there and smiles at the reporters and smiles as they quickly snap photos. Zack's slowly lifts his arm and puts it on grays head and pushes gray down. As shadow lands in front of the hatchery. She sets the men on the ground and says "stay here" as she says in a different voice loud enough for the reporters to hear "hay look shadow" then she flies up in the sky and waits for the reporters to rush out of the building and as they look around her her she flies back into the building and as she flies through the hall ways she morphs down in to a human but still runs throughout the hallways until she gets to the boys. Zack had just poked his head over the table to see if the reporters were still there. When he gets up and runs to the glass as he hollers shadows name.she runs to the galas as well and they both out there hands to each others and there foreheads would touch if the glass wasn't there. Then shadow rushes over unlock at the door and orders Zack and gray to fallow he out.She morphs into a dragon and as she flies out of the hatchery she races towards the sky. And then flies to the raptor enclosure. She lands inside and the boys climb off of her back. Then she flies off. "What enclosure" she asks Clair in the special device. "Umm let's see the umm lowery can u pull that up for me" she asks lowery in the control room. "It says in the gallimimus " Clair says as shadow flies toward the gallimimus enclosure. She circles over top and sees the injured gallimimus laying on the ground. Shadow lands on the ground near it morphs into a human and rushes over to it. She picks it's head up and realizes it's a baby Gallimimus. "Shhh shhhh it's ok" shadow says injecting a narcotic into the baby. Shadow then stands up and walks down the the baby's legs. "Clair I need a full skeletal scan" shadow says into the small device. "Ok here it says it's injury is on the left no broken bones but it shows the ankle is injured but how." Clair says to her self and shadow. She notices a hole in the ground near the baby gallimimus. "It stepped in this while running must have twisted it's ankle I'll give her some 24 hour pain killers and then wait till she gets up" shadow says wrapping the baby's leg up. Then giving it the liquid pain killers. "She should be good now thanks shadow." "No prob mom" shadow says helping the baby up. As she does its parents come over to it. And then run off with the baby. Shadow watches as the baby runs of and remembers the baby raptors that are getting put into the raptor pen today. Shadow swiftly morphs into a dragon and flies to the raptor pen. Shadow lands in the woods just our side the pen and morphs into a raptor. Then walks into the pen and her family greats her. Then she here's Owen say."ok bring them in careful though we don't want to injure them ok open the gate" a small gate opens and 5 baby raptors come running out to shadow and her family. Every raptor gets one baby. Then shadow notices the baby that came to her was the one she helped hatch. "I'll name you destiny" shadow says picking the baby up. As shadow says this. She here's something banging on the door and she instantly goes into attack mode. She sets destiny down behind her and all the baby raptors rush behind there parents. Shadows family comes to her side and they all growl at the door waiting to see what is making so much noise. As the door creaks open she hears the guards turn there guns towards what is entering the raptor pen. As the door is pushed open a cloud of dust rises from the rusty gate. Coughing can be herd from shadow that stood there in the cloud of dust. "Gosh you guys really need to clean around her and would it hurt you to make some paths up here" a female voice says. As the dust clears. A 16 year old girl is standing there. The guards rotate the guns back and shadow stops growling. As she carefully approaches the girl. "Who are you" Owen says walking down to her. "I am Alex Anna's best friend from school and who are you" she asks walking up some stairs. "I'm Owen her father" Owen says as a few people close the open gate. Shadow jumps up to where Owen was and stands next to him. Then she morphs into a human and Zack stands next to shadow with gray at his side. "I'm looking for shadow I was told I can find her here" Alex says. "That's me why were you looking for me" she asks. "Oh thank goodness I found you. You see Anna was suppose to come up a while ago for a surprise visit and she was gonna text me when she got to the air port but she never did I haven't herd from her or her boyfriend Kyle for a week and I'm really worried. The police won't help me and everyone told me that you were the only one who could find her"
