Aramis P.O.V

It was like a geek's paradise! There were cards, decorative dice, boards. I felt like I died and went to nerd heaven. Well, at least that was Asteraoth's room. After he ushered me out, I went to what I was told was my room.

Let's just say what I saw nearly made me cry....

As I entered the room, I didn't really expect what I saw. I thought the room would be like Asteraoth's. But it was far from it. A bluish-white walled room, with a large dresser and armoire. There was a full length mirror and a desk. In the center of the room was a large blue canopy bed with white drapes. And to finish it off, there was a large leather chest at the foot of the bed.

I covered my mouth, containing a scream of anguish. The room was a cross between my room at the Priory and my palace room. I sank to my knees as sobs wracked my frame. I guess homesickness never really sat in while I was at the Priory, but now that I didn't have anything to distract me, I missed both homes even more. My circlet clattered to the floor and rolled underneath the bed, and I heard a knocking sound.

"Hey! You ok" "in there? We" "heard crying from" "inside here are" "you hurt at all?" I heard the twins talking in that weird alternating pattern.

"N-No, I'm f-fine!" I responded, quickly wiping my eyes on the sleeve of my cloak.

"Listen, Aster said it would be a good idea to show you around the kingdom." "We wanted to know if you wanted to come or not." They asked. I told them I did, and quickly picked up my circlet, cloaking it before walking outside.

It was kinda weird, like a fabled Elfin city I dreamed about. Everything was built on or into the trees, with rope bridge walkways connecting them. Towards the very back was one of the white elms I saw when I landed and met Asteroath.

"The palace is built on an ancient Ygdrasil sapling. They were smart, no one defaces an ancient Ygdrasil tree, due to the horrible causes that happen from it." Luke said, adjusting the scarf and hood he used to hide his face, both him and Layla wore them.

"Yeah, it prevents people from storming the palace, they don't want to hurt the tree." Layla walked faster, towards a tree that had a sign that said "To Pie For". "This is the local bakery, they have the best sweets." She said, walking. In and heading towards the back room.

I followed them, but was confused. "Why are we heading towards the back? Shouldn't we not be allowed there?"

"Nah don't worry about it." "The owner knows us." "He won't rat us out." They sat down at the only booth in the small back dinning room. Taking off their hooded scarves, they started to eat from the plates of desserts scattered around the room.

"LAWRENCE HEARTSTRIKE I WILL PERSONALLY SEND YOU TO PARADISIA!" I yelped as the loud voice boomed throughout the room.

The door to the room flung open, and a burly man sauntered in. He wore a black t-shirt and white pants, he was muscular and frankly, scared the hell out of me.

"Psh. Come on old man, you love me." Luke said, putting his hands behind his head and resting on it.

"You stole from my shop...why would I love you?" He growled, an axe forming in both hands.
