Chapter 6

'IZZY COME BACK HERE!' Alex shouted.

Izzy ran out of the changing rooms and onto the pitch where the scrimmage was about to start. Tobin put her into a team unaware of what Alex had said.

Alex ran out of the changing rooms, and straight to the pitches. She said to Tobin... 'Tobs, Izzy's hiding something, we need to speak to her after this.'

'Lex I don't think we should do it here, maybe invite her back to ours or something, we need to make it comfortable for her to tell us anything.'

'Ur right Tobs, I'll invite her back at the right time.'

'Remember, only if she wants too,'

'Yes definitely,'

In the scrimmage Izzy couldn't concentrate, always lost the ball and didn't score any goals. She was really frustrated, and Alex could tell.

When it ended, Tobin went over to Izzy,

'Izzy, I've got some Portland Thorns u16 information back at my place, you wanna come check it out?'

'Yeah sure!,'

'Okay come and hop in my car then and I'll drive you over there,'

'Great I'll just go and get my bag from the changing rooms!'

Izzy was happy that she was going back to Tobin's but then she realised Alex would be there. But, she would have to get through that without Alex asking many questions.

Izzy got in Tobin's car and Tobin asked her about her football a lot on the journey home. Alex stayed quiet, she had to get the right moment to speak to Izzy, but she didn't know when that would be. They got to the apartment and Izzy was welcomed inside, she sat down on the red sofa and Tobin got out some leaflets. She looked through them intently whilst Alex made them all dinner.

10 minutes later, Tobin went to get something and Alex saw this as the perfect opportunity to talk to Izzy.

'Hey Izzy you looked a bit off in the scrimmage today, anything wrong?'

'Oh no, nothing, just worried about my mom that's all,'

'And those bruises on your back, where were they from,'

'Oh, erm, I fall over a lot playing soccer, I don't know how they got there?...'

'Izzy, I know that's not true...'
