The Real Me

" Jane, " I heard my mother call, " will you come down a minute? "

" What do you want? " I angrily shouted

" Someone wants to meet you! " she replied

" Who? " I said not willing to leave my bed to meet another child psychologist.

I went down and to my surprise it looked like some sort of secret agent from the movies, he greeted me with an awkward, crooked smile.

" Nice to meet you Janet, how are you? "

" It's Jane, I'm ok. "

" Oh, ok well, I have good news! "

" Well? "

" The news, right, well, we um, found your birth mother, Autumn Springs! "

My mom interrupted, "Wait how did you know you were adopted? "

" Well, I'm not an idiot mom! Anyways whats the bad news? "

" I said good news! "

" Yeah but there's always bad news? "
