Minchi had finally decided to move back to the city of LA with her older sister Kassidy. Minchi was involved in a hit-and-run accident two years ago. She was in coma for a year and is still recovering from the accident.
"Waking up a year ago was the worst feeling ever, but I would have never made it here if I ended up dead back then! This city is beautiful!", Minchi said, as she hurriedly puts on her clothes. "You are so lucky sis, getting an apartment this big, this high, what do you do for a living?" Minchi asks, as she grabs a toast and hurries to the door.
"I told you, i am a publisher. I just happened to get some great benefits from my company", Kassidy speaks, while calmly sipping her coffee. "Hurry up. You'll be late for school-" her sentence is cut off by a loud slam of the door. Minchi has left.
Minchi ran toward the elevator. She smiled for making it inside the elevator. She kept checking the time, hoping that it would slow down, when suddenly, the elevator bell rings, signaling that she has arrived at the ground floor. As she rushes outside the building, she suddenly thought of the bell that rang earlier. Somehow, it felt familiar. The sound kept resonating within her ears- ring ring..ring ring... She stopped walking. She gave it a thought, but it was not the time for her to stop. She quickly notices that she had arrived at the school. She gave up thinking and decided to quickly find her classroom.
She was in class 3-C. Minchi was not exactly the smart student. She had a difficulty in studying. As she reminisces the times she failed her Math class, she had noticed a crooked sign that says 3-C. She went inside. She notices a bunch of people, talking, seating, texting- name it. It was the typical classroom situations you see on the television. Minchi quickly spots an empty seat next to a blonde-haired guy sleeping.
"Hi, is this seat taken?" Minchi spoke softly. There was no response. "He must be deep asleep", she thought. Minchi stared at the guy next to her. Although his left hand covered his face partly, she could still notice his long luscious lashes, his glowing face, and his pink-tainted lips. "He looks so innocently handsome", she smiled. Suddenly, the bell rang, and an old lady came inside carrying some books and a laptop. "Good morning, my name is Mrs. Evans. I hope all you guys had a great summer vacation because today will be the start of a stressful season, But cheer up because I'll guide you through it. Please get ready to take notes."
Minchi takes her pen and notebook, and starts writing. As she writes, she kept pausing, thinking on whether she should wake up her seatmate or not. She sighed. She picks up her pen and started writing again.
The bell rings. Finally, it was loud enough for the sleeping boy to hear. "You're awake!" Minchi said happily. She hands a notebook to him,"you were sleeping so peacefully that I decided on not to wake you up. We took notes. I'll let you borrow mine".
The guy was somehow startled to see Minchi beside him. His eyes widened, emphasizing his beautiful hazel eyes, he somehow calms down and regains his composure. He takes the notebook hesitantly.
"I'm Mindel Chivers", she smiles and offers her hand. "Dylan. Dylan West", he spoke hesitantly. "Is there something wrong?" Minchi wonders, as she slowly takes back her hand. Dylan quickly takes her hand,"No-nothing, pleasure meeting you", as he forces a smile. He quickly lets go and gets up. "We'll be late for our next class, I got to go", he hurriedly walks out.
Dylan stops outside the door, looks back at Minchi, who was busy packing her stuff.
"Minchi", he whispered, and walks away.
