i quickly received what my new column had to be about and then sped outside, clambering onto my own bicycle.

"chase!" i yelled down the road, "chase, wait up!"

in the distance i saw you look back at me then draw to a hault, allowing me to catch up with you.

"chase i... i.." i breathed heavily.

"what?" you asked dryly.

"i'll go with you, not this friday, but tonight to see the stars." i said to you, looking into your eyes hoping to see some sort of glimmer.

"shame it's cloudy tonight." you responded miffed before cycling away, muttering to yourself.

i layed my bicycle on the sidewalk before sitting down on the curb myself.

my eyes were stinging and i could feel myself beginning to well up.

i was crying.

crying over a boy.

crying over you.

crying over chase griffiths: the one who cannot be chased.

then i saw matt pull up in his ford fiesta and so i hopped inside after putting my bicycle in the boot.
