"How's your leg?" Hayley asks Halsey as she lays on the tattoo chair. Luckily, they both have connections around here. Andy is a friend of them both. He's always helped them in sticky situations, the guy can do practically anything.
"It fucking hurts," She mutters. "I need a cigarette."
Hayley checks her pockets frantically. When she realizes she's out she yells for Andy. He comes through the curtain seconds later.
"What's up? I'm getting everything ready right now."
"I need a cigarette, now."
He pulls one out of his back pocket and hands it to her. He leaves the room once again and Halsey pulls her lighter out of her bra. Hayley places the stick in between her chapped lips and lights it. There's a sense of relief from the first drag. She feels somewhat at peace. For a second she forgets everything that's happened in the past few hours.
"What you did was stupid," Halsey says, catching Hayley off guard. She expects her to say Tyler's life wasn't worth it.
"What was? I got us both out of there."
"You left Tyler behind."
Hayley didn't expect to hear those words.
"So fucking what? It was never meant to be. I don't like hi-"
"Bullshit! You admitted it yourself and you fucking stopped him from putting a bullet through his skull. Tell me that isn't love Hayley!"
"What I did was foolish! You got shot because of it." Tears brim her eyes.
"Hayley," She quiets down. "I'm still breathing aren't I? It's only a flesh wound. I'll be okay. Right now we need to think of the positives."
"Tyler and Josh are still there."
"Not really a positive, but yes, they are. Now that we get what Boss wanted, they aren't in a safe place. As soon as I can walk, we're leaving, together to find them both. Okay?"
Hayley stares at the wound she caused before looking at her best friend. The ring of the bullet and Halsey's scream echo inside her head. She nods.
"Say it!" Halsey points a finger in her face.
"Okay."

At least they were held somewhere comfy. This Motel 6 is definitely an upgrade from that old warehouse. Tyler and Josh aren't tied up, but there are guns ready to shoot if they do anything stupid.
Mike and Vic wait inside the room with them. Boss is out and about, running other errands.
Josh is anxious, anticipating the moment the door opens again. He can't help but think about Halsey. She was such in a horrible state. Tears rolled down her cheeks like waterfalls and her expression showed hurt.
What if she didn't make it? He shakes his head, ashamed of even thinking it.
"What's on your mind Josh?" Mike speaks up from across the room. He's currently rolling a blunt.
