From an outside veiw it looks like the perfect life. A girls dream, the perfect American life. But that couldn't be farther from the truth. Truth be told I was messed up on so many levels, abusive parents, backstabing 'friends', everything I never wanted.
"Brooklynn get your lazy ass in here"My mother yelled/slurred, alcohol evident on her breath.
I dropped the dish I was washing in my haste to get to my mother. It shattered on the tile with a clash. Big mistake.
"Dammit, what the fuck did you drop this time you klumsy bitch?"
I stayed silent just standing there waiting for the blow I knew was around the corner, afraid that if I said anything it would only make it worse.
"I asked you a question. Do you have no respect for your moth-" she stopped mid-sentance as she rounded the corner into the kitchen to see the broken dish.
"Bitch." She growled.
"Pick this shit up NOW!!!" She slapped me across the face hard enough to send me to the ground with a crash.
"I'm sorr-" was all I got in befor she shoved me again this time knocking my head on the floor. This was my memory before I blacked out.
