"Good luck!" Her mother yelled out as Annabelle made her way outside and to her new school's direction. Coming from a large busy city to a peaceful coast surrounded by forest, everything around her seemed different.
There was no women and men in expensive clothing pushing there way as they try to make it in time for either school or work. There was no loud traffic. There was no rush hours. It was just peaceful as kids from time to time bike down the road, and once in a while cars zooming pass.
Annabelle enjoyed her scenery as she arched her shoulder bag more to her shoulder, a habit she did when she was nervous.
And she was indeed a nervous reck.
She was the new girl, coming in a new school half-way through the semester. If that's not going to gain her attention, then her clumsiness will.
She let's out a nervous sigh as she made it to school grounds, cars were parked outside as students coming in groups made their way to each other. She was an outsider.
Forcing her legs to move. She walked pass students, some ignoring her and some sparing glances. She walked with her eyes on her feet as she tries to make herself believe that no one was watching. But one particular gaze kept her from calming down.
She pushed her way into the office, not sparing even a single glance.
Zero stood there, hand in his pockets as he watched Annabeth rush into the building. He found it amusing to watch. Once the doors behind her close, his eyes lingered there for a bit.
He wasn't glaring, he wasn't amused, he was simply studying her. The way she moved pass groups of students without even being noticed. She sparked something within his interest.
