" Dad? Where's mom," Ignifex asked looking up at him. " she's ... out," he said, a hurt expression crossing his face. Ignifex sighed. A few weeks ago, she'd had enough time to rock him to sleep. Now, she barely even noticed him standing there. She was always far away in her mind. Somewhere that no one else could go with her to. He walked away from his father and down the long hallway that he'd often seen his mother walk out of. He stopped right at the door. Am I really going outside?  He pondered to himself. He nodded once to himself and pushed his way outside determined to find his mom. It was dark and a bright white rock floated high in the sky. The moon. Ignifex realized with wonder. He shivered. Today was supposed to be one of the hottest days of summer. Ignifex rubbed his arms. The temperature was 105 degrees. Hottest day of the summer? More like the coldest! But he knew the up world got colder. He started walking into the woods still rubbing his arms to try and warm them. His breath wafted out in front of him. He'd only been walking for a minute, when a building started to peek through the trees. He ran up to it and stopped, facing it. It was a mansion, new by the looks of it, and it was made of wood and metal. His eyes widened when he saw silver hanging on every door and window. He was fatally allergic to silver. What really caught his attention was the symbol carved on the door. He stared at it till he remembered what it was. It was the mark of Slenderman.
