Chapter Four

I rolled out of bed at 1pm. Ah I just love Saturday mornings. I walked to the bathroom and took a warm shower. When I got out I wrapped a fluffy towel around my body and began to brush my teeth. After I was done I walked back into my room and opened my wardrobe doors. I picked out a baggy grey jumper and black leggings. I slipped them on after my underwear and then closed the doors. I sat on the edge of the bed and did my hair, drying it then putting it up into a high ponytail. I looked into the mirror and worked on my make up. After I finished I went downstairs to see Millie in the kitchen.

"Morning" I said to my little sister

She smiled at me and then blushed.

"You ok?" I asked

"I really like this guy in my pre school" She gushed.

"Aww!" I cooed

"Shuddup!" Mille shouted and she ran upstairs. I opened the fridge and had a swig of orange juice before cooking a bacon sandwich for myself.

My mum and dad work on weekends at this dead fancy office estate so my gran looks after me and Millie.

I just finished washing the dishes when the doorbell rang. I dried my hands and walked to the door.

"Hey Piper!" Emily said as soon as I opened the door

"Hiya" I replied to her and Abby

"We are going to the mall if you wanna come with?" Abby suggested

"Yeah ok one sec"

I shouted a quick bye to Mille and Gran before slipping on my navy converses and grabbing my phone and purse.

I closed the door behind me and we made our way to the train station.

"No."

"Come one Piper please!"

"No"

"Yes"

"No"

"YES!!"

"Fine!"

Abby and Emily cheered and made me try on this bright pink dress. They don't like dresses but they want me to try one!!

One look in the mirror and a horrid expression on my friends faces I took it off and hung it back up.

We walked out of the store and sat down outside Starbucks with our smoothies.

"Why did you leave Drama yesterday?" Emily asked suddenly

I settled my drink down on the table and replied "People were commenting on my looks so I left"

"Mr Scott seemed eager to chase after you" Abby replied smugly

I rolled my eyes and sighed "It's his fault it happened anyway! Please can you stop about me having a crush on him, first it's illegal and kinda gross"

They both nodded and we finished our smoothies in silence.

I got home around 8pm. Millie was already in bed and gran was just making me a cup of tea. I took my hair out of its ponytail and rubbed my hands over my face.

"Whats wrong love?" My gran asked in her caring voice

"Nothing gran. I'm just a bit fed up" I replied feeling tired

"Honey. This guy you like, if he doesn't notice how amazing you are he's missing out. Just give it time and get to know him more" My gran spoke out

I looked at her in pure shock. She shook her head and put her hand on my shoulder "Piper. I have known you your whole life. I know exactly what you think about. Now you look shattered. Take a nice bath and maybe read a book for a bit. Go and have a bit of me time" She pulled me in for a hug and when she pulled away I said a goodnight and did exactly as she suggested.

Sunday went by far too quickly. I did all my homework and packed my bag ready for tomorrow. I prepared myself to see Mr Scott tomorrow. Get to know him more and I need to explain about Friday.

I walked into form with everyone else and sat at my usual place. Abby and Emily weren't here today as they had a History trip. I sat drumming my fingers on the desk when I heard the chair next to me scrape against the carpet. I turned my head to see Mr Scott looking at me.

"About Friday I-" I couldn't finish as Mr Scott interrupted me

"Piper it's fine. I get it if you don't wanna talk about it yet"

I nodded and smiled gratefully.

The rest of form we talked about my lessons and Mr Scott bragging about his 'amazing' guitar skills. Yep, it was all back to normal for now.
