I was sitting on the porch swing rocking back and forth looking at one of my tattoos, thinking of how I may of got it, when the strange man cradling a hurt child to his chest ran through the fields screaming for help.

"My son! Help my son!" he screamed

Daddy and Anita came onto the porch both wearing a look of concern on there faces, will I just frowned, shrugged and went to grab the axe that I hide under the swings cushions, a place Daddy would never look. I guess I should of been shocked that a human, a thing that used to be so common and is now a rare species, came running through are fields and to our front steps, but for some reason that I can't explain, I no longer am shocked, or concerned, or happy.

"M-my son! He-he's been shot." he breathed as his knees gave out, just in front of our porch. "Ah-a man Otis, he sent me."

"Otis?" I questioned with a raised eyebrow, lowering my axe.

The man nodded

"Forget that, Beth bring the boy inside."

I scooped the boy from the mans arms gently. Before he could protest I said, "Sir you look exhausted, let me carry him. I Won't drop him, I'm stronger than I look."

I walked inside to the guest room, were Anita had already stripped the bed, and put down clean sheets. Daddy was setting up his tools, and had an IV ready to go.

Daddy turned to the man and began to ask him questions about the kids health and other stuff that was relevant. I think it was at that moment that they started to buzzout and I didn't really see anything except that kids face. Maybe I was insane but It felt like knew him.

"Carl Grimes," I whispered quietly to myself, but it still gained the attention of the man.

"How do you know his name" he asked in confusion.

I shrugged and turned on my heel, heading back to my porch swing in an attempt to sort out whatever just happened to me in there

Not a second before I sat down Maggie opened the door, a bat in her right hand. I raised a brow  and nodded my chin towards her accessory.

"Rick asked me to get his family."

"No your not." I said causally grabbing my axe I had left on the porch and hooked it on my belt.

"Be-,"

"No Maggie, you don't like going near those things, and I need to clear my head with a little adventure anyway." I said cutting he off, and started down the porch steps and toward the barn.

"He said that there around the highway," she called after me

I got my dirt bike from the side of the barn, ignoring the growl of walkers, and headed for the highway, with no idea what I was getting into
