(COMPLETED FOR NOW) The Danger: Gaara/Shikamaru x Reader

Danger.

You turned back into a human.   Your fox ears pricked up and tail wagging happily.   Shikamaru still was lightly petting your head.  You were facing him and he held you closely as his gentle hand lightly stroked your face.   He kissed your forehead softly.   You looked at him surprise.  "You're one troublesome woman"  he whispers into your ear as you turned away from him with a huge smile on your face.   Shikamaru is still petting your head.    The Kazekage and Naruto were talking, Temari and the other guy were looking at you with absolute surprise and shock.   Their jaws dropped and resting on the ground.    "You two?..  What the... Y/n?.. What?"   Temari just stood their in completely confused.   You wiggled out of Shikamaru's arms and ran over to the guy.   "Who are you?"   You ask cheerfully.    "K...Kan...Kankurō"  he stuttered.  A huge blush was slowly creeping onto his face.    "Hi Kankurō!!! My name is Y/n!!!"   You say happily.     Kankurō just looks at you and suddenly he starts to have a bleeding nose out of nowhere.    "Are you okay?"   You ask worry laced into your voice.    He nods slowly.    Temari is just starring in misbelief at the site before her.   The Kazekage notices you and Kankurō's state and almost smiles at scene.    Naruto looks at Shikamaru to find him underneath the shade of the tree looking at Kankurō and you cautiously.   You look over to see Temari.   "Temari I think I broke him. I don't know how a person could break though.  Humans cans be injured or die, but not break"   You say the last sentence to yourself.   "Well I can too get hurt too and die, but I do come back after six months"   You mutter under your breath looking at Kankurō confused.   You sigh and walk over to the Kazekage cautiously.   You stop about one or two feet away from him.   You tilt your head to look at him and study him.   You look from his feet and let your eyes travel up towards his eyes again.    He was blushing too but only very slightly.   'Well we aren't getting anything done here'  you thought with an inward sigh.   "Kazekage-sama?"  You ask.   "Yes"   He answered.   "You asked for a team of ninja from Konoha am I correct?"   You said with an emotionless feel, which surprised everyone.  You closed your eyes and opened them slowly.   "Yes?"  It sounded more like a question.   "What is it that you need done?"  You ask in a completely emotionless tone.   Everyone either pinched themselves or jumped.    "I asked for us to all meet here because me and Lady Tsunade wanted to make sure that you and the nine tails were relaxed is all."  The Kazekage answered confusing you.  "So you mean this wasn't a mission at all, but just a vacation type thing?"   You questioned your voice full of confusion.   The Kazekage nodded.  You relaxed a bit and sat down cross legged.   "It is also a trust exercise for you and Naruto.   And to prove that the Leaf and Sand are allies still."  Temari added.   Your tail thumped on the ground dumbly to signal you heard her.   

   You placed your hands on your knees and tried to make sense of everything.   Everyone stood around you as you stayed completely still.  Naruto tried poking you with a stick.   "She is just thinking let her be... You all are so troublesome"   Shikamaru states.   You flatten your ears against your head to block out any sound or as much sound as possible.    'Okay we were sent on a 'big mission' and now we are here... We find out it's just a fun little vacation for us and now I am thinking... The Kankurō guy is probably still broken, I hope someone fixes him soon... I bet everyone one is looking at me probably freaked out or worriedly... I don't care about that.  Well since it's a nice little vacation, better get it actually started on it.'   You think the last part happily.  You open your eyes to see the Kazekage and Naruto on either side of you.   Their eyes were closed.  Your ears sprung up and listened for any movement, you heard someone stop and turn.   You jumped up and yelled "well don't just sit there let's get this vacation on with itself!!!"    Naruto almost shit himself and the Kazekage opened one eye.   Temari and the Kankurō guy burst into laughter.   Your tail went in between your legs and you looked at them sadly.   "Did I do something, funny or did I do something stupid?"   You asked.  Shikamaru walked over to you and took your hand.  "You guys start walking, we'll catch up."   Shikamaru called.  They all nodded and started walking.   Shikamaru took you towards a tree and stopped.   "You were thinking for awhile. What were you thinking about?"  Shikamaru asked.    "I was just thinking about how ironic the situation was."  You answered.   Shikamaru nodded and said "why did you sound so emotionless earlier?   You actually scared me for a few moments."     You looked at the ground and said "I just wanted to sound serious for once.  No one takes me seriously."  You gave a quick glance up and Shikamaru's face and Shikamaru caught your chin with his index and thumb.   "Well I take you seriously always have."   Shikamaru states.  You look into his dark eyes the shade of the tree falling over his kind face and strong body.  "Sh... Shikamaru?"   You whisper.
