I woke up and I was holding something, no someone, River McKay was in my arms, my stomach had this weird feeling and for some reason I didn't want to let her go, it felt too right. River started to move around, so I pretended I was asleep, but kept my eyes open enough to see her. She looked at my arms, which were around her waist, she turned around and looked at me, she smiled and laid back down.

I couldn't help but smile as she said, "I know you're awake, Tobes."

"Nickname, aye? Okay then Riv," I said with a smirk.

She turned over and faced me, she had a huge smile on her face, "What're you doing today?"

"Nothing, why?" I replied.

"Do you want to, uh, never mind, it's stupid," she said.

"No, come on, tell me," I said.

"I was wondering if you wanted to hang out," she said.

"That sounds like fun," I said and honestly it did.

"Can I shower?" She asked with a smile.

"Yep, hang on, just let me get you some stuff," I said as I grabbed a towel and washcloth.

When I handed them to her our hands touched and I felt sparks, I could feel my cheeks getting red. When I looked up River's cheeks were burning red too, "U-Uh thanks," she said as she pulled away. She walked into the bathroom and I heard the water start, Connor and Riley busted into my room.

"Thomas and Braiden are here," Connor said in a serious tone.

"What the hell are we supposed to do with River?" I asked.

"Hope they understand?" Riley asked.

"Yeah, that's a good one," Connor said.

Thomas and Braiden were walking down the hallway, so I did the one thing I could think of. I opened the bathroom door, took my shirt off, hopped into the shower, and covered River's mouth as she was about to scream, "I'll explain, just hang on.." I said.

Thomas said from outside the bathroom, "Don't take too long Toby, we have stuff to talk about."

I wanted to hang out with River, so I said, "I have plans with a friend today, sorry guys!"

Braiden came into the bathroom and said, "look at me Toby."

I instructed River to be quiet as I removed my hand from her mouth, I poked my head out, "yeah?"

"What plans?" He asked.

"Well, I kinda am meeting up with a-" I started.

Braiden cut me off though, "you're ditching us for a girl?"

"She's not just a girl, okay?" I said forgetting that River was next to me.

"Okay, well, I guess it's fine this time," he said and walked out of the bathroom, shutting the door behind him.

I let out a deep breath as I turned back to River, I didn't dare to look down, I just kept my gaze focused on her eyes, "Not just a girl, huh?" She said.

"Just don't," I said as I got out of the shower.

"What am I supposed to do? It's pretty obvious that your friends aren't supposed to see me here," she said.

"They're not my friends, they're Connor's, but just finish your shower," I said.

"I'm done," she said shutting the water off.

"Okay, I'll close my eyes until your dressed," I closed my eyes as I heard the shower curtain open and zippers.

About five minutes later she said, "I'm dressed." I opened my eyes to see her wearing a crop-top that said Don't Feed The Ratchets, a pair of pink short-shorts, and a necklace that had a R on it. "Are you done checking me out?" She said.
