It started as a nightmare

Part 3 So its real

I open my eyes to see nothing,nothing but Darkness I looked around and saw nothing. Until I herd a child's scream I blinked and all of a sudden I was in that forest, I saw a child. It was a little girl and she was crying on the ground. I walked over to her and she looked up at me. She had no face like that monster-thing and in a mater of seconds it was that think.

I looked at where it's eyes should be and just stared I wasn't even scared and for some reason I bowed to the monster and I felt respect for it I looked up and saw the monster but this time it had black tentacles coming out of its back and I put my focus back on its face and then it all faded to wight with the sound of loud T.V static

I opened my eyes to see my familiar room with Alfie next to me I sat up waking Alfie up as well the still half asleep Alfie gave me a look and stretched.

I got out of the bed and walked over to the bathroom Alfie followed I noticed that there was still blood on his mouth and body and picked him up and he gave me a worried look and I gave him an apologetic look in return " sorry Alfie but your really dirty you need a bath" I saw his ears flatten and tail start to flick 'well this is going to be a little difficult' I thought "hm ok let's make a deal if you take a bath I'll join you and you get my fish " he thought and nodded I smiled and got undressed and filled the bathtub with bubbles and soon a sweet smell of strawberry

we got in the bath and I started to scrub some soap into Alfie's fur and soon the warm water turned a red-ish brown color that I thought was his previous family's blood and dirt Alfie soon got used to the warm water and purred once I started scribing him after a while. once I thought we were both clean enough I set Alfie out of the tub and he shook off water from his damp fur I giggled and drained the tub and got out as well and wrapped a towel around my wet body

I looked down at Alfie to see that he did a horrible job on getting the water out of his fur I grabbed a smaller towel and went to my room and put on my normal Attire

I headed down stairs with Alfie close behind I sat down on the couch and Alfie followed and sat on my lap I grabbed the small towel and dried him off and as I did I turned on the T.V and the news was on and we watched it for about five minutes and the news anchor changed the subject then she started talking about two men that were killed at the park she said "the two men were found dead at the park there throughs slit and flesh cut of the men's arms the police said that it was done by a knife and they appeared to have been mugged we could not tell what their identity is at this time and there were no witness to the crime well tell you more once we get more information now to the weather there's going to be a strong storm tonight and we should get around seven inches of rain and the storm should pass by tomorrow, more to come after this commercial break."

I sighed and stopped drying of Alfie " so do you still want my fish?"  I asked  he nodded and hopped off my lap

I walked over to the fridge and pulled out a small fish and handed it to Alfie and he gladly took it and for some reason my mind traveled to that monster in my dreams

I started to feel a pulsing in my mouth and hands and made my ears and tail twitch uncontrollably and for a brief moment it consumed my whole body but it soon faded but I shrugged it off

I walked back over to the couch then I heard a loud thump come from upstairs and the rain from outside and I knew someone got in through the window and I felt the pulsing again but stronger and all I could smell was blood and Alfie's fur

I quickly picked up Alfie and told him so stay low and hide and that if I need him I'll call him he nodded and I set him down and he ran off to another part of the house I soon pulled my attention back to the window there was a static in the air and another pulse rush through me and my body felt light and there was a tingling sensation taking over

I walked up stairs to the window. the window was open ,my mask out. I looked out the window and there it was, the monster I quickly put on my mask and hid my ears and tail and when I looked up again it was gone I ran to the window and looked out and could only see forest 'WHAT IF THEY GOT ALFIE!'

I whistled and went to look for him but soon Alfie came in a mad dash and when he got there he looked around like he was going to kill something, I picked him up and he let out a surprised Yelp and I couldn't help but smile he glared at me but only for a split second then purred loudly I pulled of my mask then thunder illuminated the room followed by a loud booming sound that scared Alfie and he managed to get into my jacket.

I chuckled and I then shut the window he popped his head out and the sound. I smiled and held him in my jacket and went down stairs still very alarmed about what just happened

once we got down stairs another boom echoed throughout the house and it made Alfie shake and I heard whispers that said 'its ok I'm ok nothing there' I looked around finding that the whispers where coming from Alfie I jolted and he gave me a scared and worried look I herd the whisper again but more shaky 'a-are you o-ok?' I gave him a surprised look and he looked confused and there was a bright flash that was followed by a really loud boom the shook the house.

I heard a slight sob and he whispered 'p-please don't l-leave m-me owner' after I herd him say that I felt my heart Break and I hugged him " I'll never leave you, you are honestly the only one I have left that understands." His breathing hitched and he looked at me wide eyed I gave him a smile I said in a gentle tone "like I said you are the only one I have left that hasn't judged me or has been scared of what I am...and I just realized that I can talk to you!" I ended with a exited tone he smiled and purred

"oh and I remember that you didn't call me by my name I'm faith so please don't hesitate to call me by my name."  He nodded and whisper my name 'that's a nice name...faith I like it' he said he moved around in the jacket and soon fell asleep. I looked in my hand and there was my mask and I thought about the monster I walked over to the couch and sat down and put Alfie on my lap I got confutable

'so that thing Is real well this is fucked up' I  soon fell asleep with that thought in my mind laying with the only one who understands.
