There he was. Walking all alone with his long black coat. Wandering thoughtlessly in the cold winter weather.

It was christmas eve and he was obviously going to spend the whole christmas alone.

He let out a deep breath before kicking the snow making his black pointy shoes covered in some shade of white.

He ever asked to be left alone on holidays like this. His parents would usually be on some trip to spend christmas with clients just to kiss the clients' butt. Not literally but you get the idea.

He didn't remember when was the last time he had a christmas with his parents that didn't involved business. He felt that the christmas spirit was gone from his parents' heart.

When he was little he used to wish to santa so he'll have an actual real christmas with his parents. But as he grew older, he gave up. He started to sink into reality and accept the fact that his wish will never come true.

A few days before, his parents asked him if he wanted to come to some tropical country to meet up with a few "friends" and celebrate christmas there. But he turned them down saying that he wanted a white christmas.

Not wanting to break the heart of their own son, they agreed and he was left alone for christmas. He knew he'll still be bored going out but he figured it was better than sitting at home watching happy christmas movies.

But what sucks was all he could see was happy cheery kids running around having a blast with their families. Something he wanted to feel for years. There was still a part of him that believes a miracle will happen but every time christmas came, nothing happened.

He walked lifelessly on the walkway of the park. The falling snow made it look as if he's one of the heroes from those dramas. With his milky white skin. The snow seemed to compliment his looks.

But sadly, there wasn't a smile coming from the angelic face of his.

As he walked towards a bench nearby the river, kids ran passed him filled with joy and lively giggles. He could only smile at the sight despite the sadness that's growing in his heart.

Sitting on the bench, he looked towards the water. He's always had this thing for seas, lakes and rivers. The view of the flowing water seemed to have a calming effect on him and it's considered as his safe haven.

Humming softly, he slumped into the bench. Not caring if the cold weather has made his nose and ears turn red, he sat there quietly. As the park began filling up with people, the empty feeling in his heart also began to fill up.

He knew for sure that there won't be a miracle where his parents would magically appear in front of him to celebrate christmas like he dreamt all those years.

Dreams only exist in our mind. They won't happen in reality.

That was he told himself. It pained him to let the words out of his mouth but he did it anyways.

I'm already in pain. Adding up the pain a bit more won't hurt.

"Aren't you feeling cold? You look like you're freezing." A voice asked him making him turn to the source of the voice.

Turning around, a girl was sitting at the other end of the bench and looked at him with a soft smile. Her eyes filled with care and worry.
