On the front steps of the courtyard Marcus was sitting on, it had a quite clear view of the school. As he was reading an American History lesson on the Great Depression, he saw in the corner of his eye a glipse of red hair flash by. He looked up knowing exactly who's hair it belonged to: Elle Baury. He watched her with admiration as she ran up to her friends and started chatting with them. "Marcus! You're going to be late for practice!" His best friend, and quarterback of the football team, Josh Hayes shouted. "I'm coming, I'm coming." Marcus answered. "Okay but coach is gonna have a heart attack if we don't show up." As Marcus gathered his stuff and walked in the direction of Josh he couldn't stop thinking about those gorgeous strawberry locks and melodious sound of the way Elle laughed. 'I wonder if she ever notices me' he thought to himself. 'Or of she even likes me at all.' If she only knew.
