Art was her favorite subject and she always looked forward to it. None of her friends were in the class which was a bummer but it felt nice to have an hour by herself (well not really but you get it). Today they were going to do pottery and the whole class were anticipating it for a while. When her teacher Mrs. Pierce called out partners for the project, Elle couldn't believe who her partner was: Marcus. All of the girls looked at her with jealously because they had all hoped (as they usually do) that they would be partnered with him. Elle was so nervous her hands were shaking. See, she had never really been around a boy before and didn't know at all what to do.
