Closing the door behind me, I slid down to the floor. Sighing, I could still hear my mom going off about how I never do anything and should do something with myself. "You don't ever do ahhnythang," she slurs her words as she speaks "you could dooooo aa lot with yo-hiccup-ur life you know." She kept going on and on about that.
My mom and dad separated a few months ago cause all they did was argue. But since then, my mom hasn't really taken it to good. She drinks all the time. I see my dad once in a while but only when he wants me to see him. All I thought to myself was "just a seventeen year old kid whose dad rarely sees me and mom who couldn't take the pain" I sighed and went to bed.

I woke up the next day and my mom was gone. "She went to work early I guess" I said under my breath which I don't know how she did cause she was drunk last night. I did the usual routine like I do every morning for school. I showered, got dress, ate, then off to school. I usually kept to myself and didn't talk to anyone unless I had to.
I was in class staring outside at the mountains in of Tennessee. We lived in a small town right off of the smokey mountains. They were really foggy today which was normal for us. One kid behind me tapped on my shoulder taking me out of my daze and pointed at the teacher. "Derik Hieghts, would you like to tell the class what's more interesting to see out there then paying attention in my class?" The teacher looked at me with her small eyes. "No ma'am" I said shyly.

Before last period I had to go to my locker to put some books away. On my way there I looked outside again at the mountains and then next thing I know I bump into something. I look down to see a girl on the ground and I freaked out. I got to the ground to help pick up the books i knocked out of her hands. "I'm really sorry" I said panicky and shyly. " no.. No it's fine" she said quietly. I was scared she was gonna cuss my out of something. As I helped her pick up her books, one book caught my eye. The tittle read "dream book"  she snatched it quickly before I could really get a good look at it. "No don't look at it" she said quietly again, but this time I heard panic in her voice. She was holding the book tightly on her chest. " I'm sorry.. I didn't -" she was stunning. I lost my train of thought. She had light brown hair, partly in curls. She had blue eyes, but the rim of her pupils looked almost a reddish color. I couldn't figure out what to say when I seen her. Some girl comes behind kneels next to her. "Bella, come on. We're about to be late for class" the girl next to the girl whose name apparently was Bella gave me a disgusting look. Still scared looking, Bella got up and walked to class once she got the rest of her stuff. All I could think of was "oh my god, she's beautiful."
