Touko Fukawa was born to a married couple, however, her birth was anything but happy. On the same day she was born, another child died in a medical accident. It was unclear which woman was the mother, and both mothers refused to take a blood test not wanting to know that their child was dead. Around this time, it was learned that Touko's father had married both women.
So Touko ended up living with one father and two mothers. Though this turned out to be a problem as she was maltreated when she was young. She was onced locked into a closet and stayed there for three days without any food. This led for her developing a fear of the dark. Whe the harsh treatment continued, she turned to novels for comfort.
But the negative feelings were too strong.
Due to them, she developed a spilt personality. This personality murdered several young men, and unaware of her gender, people on the internet refered her to as Genocide Jack.
To make it worse, Touko didn't have any friends and was bullied at school. The only friend she did have was her stink bug, Kameko.
Her love life wasn't good either.
The first person she loved was a boy at her elementary school. When she had found out that the boy was moving to Shikoku, she knew that she was indeed in love with him and wanted to tell him. Being the shy person she was, she wrote a letter confessing her love for him. The next day, her letter was on a bulletin board. She had talked to him and found out that he hated her, and was made fun of due to being her " friend. "
However, her terrible love life did help in some way. When her teacher saw the letter, they told her that she had a way with words. This started Touko's writing career in romace novels.
But instead of writing on about her own experience, she wrote based on her delusions.
One of her novels, ' So Lingers the Ocean ' , was such a huge hit that it shot fishermen up in all ' Hottest Men " polls. Even though she was at a young age, Touko recieved many awards.
In 2010, Touko was accepted into Hope's Peak Academy as the Ultimate Writing Prodigy.
