Your (e/c) eyes wandered across the empty street. The streets were always empty at night. This gives you the perfect chance to get some food. A smirk formed across your lips and you ran across the road, straight toward a large house.
You reached into the pocket of your worn shorts, pulling out two bobby pins. You slid them into the lock and listened closely. A quiet click sounded and you returned the pins to your pocket. You quietly pushed open the door and entered the house, (e/c) eyes looking around for any movement. Upon seeing non, you smiled and shut the door behind you, then quietly crept into the house.
First you went to the kitchen, stuffing food into the black backpack on your back. You occasionally glanced behind you, making sure no one was there. You snatched up the box of poptarts, then crept out of the kitchen and upstairs, into a bedroom, where two adults were quietly sleeping.
You glanced at them, making sure they were still asleep. No movement came from the two, only the rising and falling of their chests as they breathed. You snuck across the room and opened a jewelry box, revealing many obviously expensive necklaces, bracelets, earrings, etc. You grabbed a beautiful diamond necklace and stuffed it into your bag, then continued stuffing the jewelry inside.
You froze as the lights flipped on. A scream rang out and your head whipped around. They were awake. The woman's eyes were wide with horror as the man grabbed the lamp that was on the nightstand. You smirked and turned toward the door. He swung the lamp at you, which you easily dodged and dashed out of the bedroom.
A teenage boy tiredly stepped out of his room. His eyes widened when he saw you running straight at him. You shoved him out of the way and jumped down the flight of stairs. You landed hard on your feet, but continued running straight for the door nonetheless.
Police sirens rang in the distance and you pulled open the front door, running out into the night. A laugh escaped your lips and you smirked triumphantly. Yet another night of success.
You ran into an alleyway, then finally slowed down and panted. After a few moments break, you looked back up and continued walking. It soon led you to a busy bar, making you cringe. You hated this place, but it was the only way to get to who you needed.
You entered the building, instantly getting wolf-whistles and nasty comments from the drunk men. Your ears blocked them out and your eyes directed on only one person. You shoved past the other people and stopped in front of a man, who was happily flirting with three other girls. He looked at you and smirked. "Oy, if it isn't my good girl, (Y/n)." He chuckled. You rolled your eyes. "I'm not here to flirt, Seth." You reached into your bag and slammed a handful of jewelry onto the table. "I want my money, as promised."
Seth instantly straightened at the sight of the expensive necklaces, bracelets, etc. "You actually got them without being caught, hmm? I didn't think you were that good, (Y/n)." He sighed and pulled out his wallet. "Twenty?" He offered. You frowned. "We had a deal, Seth. You'd give me a hundred if I got you the jewelry!" He rolled his eyes and held out a twenty. "Sorry, sweetheart. Twenty'll get ya through the day." He said.
You opened your mouth to yell at him, until the barrel of a gun was pressed against the side of your head. You frowned, knowing it was one of Seth's bodyguards. Sending one last glare filled with daggers toward the man, you snatched up the twenty and shoved the gun away. You turned toward the door and exited the bar, feeling pissed off and let down once again.
