You glared at the ground as you walked. "That bastard..." You muttered and turned the corner. You ran into something, or rather someone and stumbled back, nearly falling. Luckily, you caught yourself.  "Sorry, I wasn't paying attention." You apologized, looking up. Your eyes widened slightly. There stood a man, wearing a yellow hoodie and black jeans. The strange part was that his face was hidden behind a black mask, with two red eyes and a stitched frown, almost looking like they were glowing red. The man was much taller than you, at least 6'3 and he looked rather muscular. "S-Sorry, sir." You said. He shrugged and walked past you. You stared ahead for a moment, then looked behind you, only to find him gone. You blinked, slightly nervous. That's odd... You turned around and continued walking. It wasn't long until you reached an old, abandoned house. It looked burned, as though someone had set flame to it many years ago. You sighed and climbed through the broken window, into an old living room. The couch was covered in holes and had a few singes. There was an old, broken T.V laying on the floor. You walked straight past it and down the hall, into a bedroom. The bedroom was the cleanest thing in the house, though there was no bed. Just a simple mattress with a worn, blue blanket overtop and a single pillow. You sighed and sat on the mattress, setting your bag next to the mattress. You pulled out the twenty from your pocket and sighed. "At least I can wash my clothes with this money..." You muttered and put the money into a side pocket of the bag. You then reached into the bag and pulled out the box of poptarts. You smiled, your (e/c) eyes lighting up. It's been so long since you've had a poptart! You opened the box and grabbed one, peeling the wrapping around it off. You took a bite from the treat, then moaned in pleasure. You hadn't eaten anything in a few days, let alone a poptart. You savored the treat, taking your time to eat it. Once it was finished, you put the box back into your bag and laid down on the mattress, pulling the blanket over yourself. You closed your eyes, and soon you fell into a dreamless slumber. The next morning, you were awoken by the sunlight shining through the cracked window. You yawned and sat up, stretching your limbs, earning a satisfying 'crack' from each of them. You looked at your bag, then sighed and stood up. You reached into the bag, pulling out another old, worn outfit ( www.polyvore.com/m/set?.embedder=... ). You changed and then put your previous clothes into the bag, then swung the bag over your shoulder. You exited the bedroom and walked  to the living room, climbing out the window once again. The streets were busy once again, making you sigh. Even with all these people, you didn't bother to beg for money. All of them were greedy pigs, they kept all money for themselves, not sharing it with a single person. You began walking down the sidewalk, eyes focused in front of you. You knew exactly where you were going. You entered a building filled with washing machines and dryers. You paid the little amount of money that it cost and put your extra clothing into the washer. As you waited for them to wash, you walked to the convenience store next door, and bought some water and mints. The store clerk gave you an odd look, popping her bubble gum. She flipped her perfect blonde hair. "Who are you?" She asked.
You grabbed your things and turned away. "Non of your concern, Miss." You replied, then exited the store. You returned to the other building, happy to find that your clothes were finished washing. You placed them in the dryer, then leaned against the washer, waiting for them to finish. You popped a mint into your mouth and sighed. The bell above the door rang, signaling that someone had entered. You didn't bother looking up, expecting it to be some other person who needed their clothes washed. You tensed as a certain voice spoke. "(Y/n)! Just the person I wanted to see!" Seth spoke. You frowned and looked at him. "Too bad the feelings not mutual." You snapped. Seth chuckled and wrapped an arm around your shoulder, much to your displeasure. "Don't hold a grudge, babe. It's only eighty that I didn't give you." He chuckled. You sent him a dagger filled glare. "I'm homeless, you *sshole." Seth rolled his eyes. "Whatever, I have another job for you."
You shrugged his shoulder off. "No, I'm done doing jobs for you. You never keep up to you part of the deal." He sighed. "I swear I will this time, sweetheart. I'll pay you four hundred if you can manage to get me a certain pendant." He said. You raised a brow. "Fine, where is this pendant?" He chuckled. "That's my girl. Now, this pendant is on Tinker St., on the other side of town." You nodded. "The big brown house, that's where it is, got it?" Once again, you nodded.Seth smirked and patted your back. "Good girl, I knew you'd do it. Better have it to me tonight, otherwise no money for you." At that, he turned way and exited the building, just as your clothes finished. You put the now clean clothing into the bag, ready for tonight.

Your (e/c) eyes looked carefully around the empty street. You were walking to the house, prepared to get the pendant. At least, you thought so. What you hadn't been expecting was for the house to be a f*cking mansion! You mentally cursed Seth, and ran across the road. You pulled out the two same bobby pins from the previous night and lock picked the lock. A satisfying click rang out and you pushed open the door. The house was dark, the only light was the moonlight that was shining through the windows. You sighed and entered, shutting the door behind you. 'This will be easy.' You thought. You silently crept up the large staircase, not making a sound. It took you a while to find the correct bedroom, as there were probably over fifteen. Once you found the correct one, you frowned when you saw the sleeping woman was wearing the pendant on a silver chain. Perhaps was was harder than you thought...You walked forward and kneeled beside her. You carefully attempted to unhook the hook of the chain, but it was easier said than done. Just as you nearly got it unhooked, the woman's eyes snapped open and an ear piercing scream escaped her lips. You ripped the necklace from her and turned toward the door. Much to your horror, two security guards stood their, aiming their guns straight at you. You turned toward the window, ready to escape, until the man who was asleep next to the woman grabbed your hair and yanked you back, holding a pistol to the side of your head.Your eyes widened. You'd been caught... The man pressed the barrel of the pistol harder against your head, placing his finger over the trigger. "You're the one who stole from my son, aren't you?" He spoke darkly. You shivered, suddenly realizing your mistake. He knew you... You'd stolen from his son last night. He was going to shoot you.Suddenly, a loud 'crack' sound rang through the room and everyone looked toward the woman. Much to everyone's horror, her neck had been effortlessly snapped. A man crawled through the window, whom you quickly recognized as the man you'd run into last night. In his left hand, he held a knife. "J-Jeanine!" The man holding you captive shouted. He pressed the gun harder against your head, ready to shoot. You shut your eyes, waiting for death. It never came. The gun was removed from your head and you opened your eyes. The masked man now held the gun, and the man was knocked out. The security guards shot at you, making you quickly dive down to the floor. The man effortlessly shot the two and grabbed your arm, pulling you back to your feet. "Hurry up! They'll have more!" He spoke. His voice was almost demon-like,  he must have some sort of voice modifier in his mask.
The man turned and ran out the bedroom door. You quickly followed behind him, though you had no idea why you trusted him. I mean, he did just murder four people without a second thought. He slid down the rail of the stairs, and you quickly did the same on the opposite rail. The two of you landed on your feet and made a dash for the front door, as other security guards shot and chased after you two. Finally, the hooded man kicked open the door and you ran side-by-side into the empty streets.
