Chapter Two

Mikasa Pov.

I stood there with them and watched as the flying thing opened and out stepped Marco, Commander Erwin and Levi with his squad.

"What?! But Marco and Levi's squad are dead!?" Eren said. Then he whispered "I saw them die."
"And I found Marco's half eaten corpse" Jean said while intently looking at the Marco that was now happily talking to the girl with the black and green hair, looking like he didn't have a care in the world.

We couldn't see what the girl looked like, because she had her back facing us.

"Sorry I'm late guys, I went to change my clothes and took a little longer than expected." Our eyes widened an we heard the familiar voice talk.

It was Annie.

She was calmly walking towards the small group and had a huge smile on her face.

But there was something very wrong. When Annie got there, she hugged everyone from the group (even Levi) and started happily talking with them. Surprisingly, her and the others seemed to be on good terms, not not at all like she had killed them or they had been fighting. (Pffft, no way, that's ridiculous)

"Guys, let's get closer and listen to what they are saying, since they don't seem to see us." Armin says. We all agree and slowly walk up to the flying thing.

3rd person pov.

"So Annie how is it back in TW? I hear you're being hunted down by the scouting legion." Eri stated.
"I haven't been doing that bad, apart from the chasing and the one or other titan wanting to eat me. Although I'm glad I'm back home. How have you been Eri?" Annies said.

"I've been good. I'm working on a machine you can use to communicate through the worlds.
It's good to have you back too, Annie." Eri said.

"So Marco how did you actually die? I one day I just saw Jean crying and suspected you were gone." Annie asked Marco.

"Well I was walking down a street
-through all the panic- and I was thinking whether to come back here or to stay, because it was getting a little boring. So then a titan just grabbed me and ate me. I could have killed it easily, but I thought 'Meh, since it's got me, it can jusy eat me. Like that, I don't have to decide anything'. It'd nit like I was actually going to die. I knew that I was going to appear here anyway. "He said in a thoughtful way.

Our little group from the TW were speechless to say the least. They had countless questions running through their minds such as 'How did Marco get here if he was eaten?' or 'What does he mean with 'I was going to appear here anyway?' and 'Why haven't we found any food yet?'.

Suddenly Erika spoke up, gaining everyone's attention: "Guys, I need some of you to come with me to the control room. Annie, I want your report on the abnormal titan activity. You have been studying it for some time now. Hanji, I want your most recent research on titan brain activity according to different situations and also the comparison between their brain activity, that of this worlds shifters and that of Eren. Marco I need you to watch the screens while we're doing this -just in case. Levi, throw in a sarcastic comment from time to time, you're too quiet. And the rest is welcome to come with us if you want to."

A chorus of 'Yeah's and 'ok's were heard from the group as they all started walking towards the military HQ.

On their way to the control room, Eren and the rest found out that they could not only pass through people but also objects. That made it much easier to follow Marco and the others into the building without being found out. When they finally reached the top floor, they stopped in front of a metal door.
