I wanted to run but I knew he would run after me. I tried to hide but there was no where to hide and even if there was he would know exactly where I was and the last choice was to die but after all this time in this horrifying place I realised that I can't die. Not now.
I was still thinking of what the hell I should do while I was staring at the thing with fearful eyes. That was when the elevator doors opened and I quickly ran in although when I ran in the figure kept following me but at a more rapid pace. Luckily the elevator door sealed shut before it could set foot into the elevator.
The elevator was going up onto the ground floor. I hoped it would anyway. The doors opened and a gust of wind smacked me in the face. I thought I was free but instead it lead me to another god damn room.
The room was bare, like the room that I woke up in. I stepped out of the elevator to try and explore my surroundings. There was almost nothing, completely bare, there was only a filthy mattress and large puddles of dirty sewage. Rats were scuttling round the entire room. It was awful.
I walked towards one of the walls and remembered when I woke up in a room just like this one. Almost identical to the one that I had started in but the only thing different was that there was no blood on the walls which said the words help me. I'm dying. I got closer towards the stone hard wall and suddenly felt a sharp, agonising pain shoot towards my abdomen. I looked down only to find blood oozing out of my stomach. I then somehow started to write on the walls help me. I'm dying. With my own blood. Thats when I realised thats not just blood. That's my blood! This is the room that I had started in. The same room that I woke up from, dazed and confused.
Well now I am going to sleep again. A sleep that will last forever. A sleep that I will never wake up from. I laid on the freezing cold floor slowly bleeding to death. I looked up at the roof, closing my eyes and waiting for death to approach me, take me into his hand and take me away from this hellish prison...
I know what you're wondering "wait thats the end. Is that it!" No it isn't finished yet. Im gonna write a short Epilogue that will conclude As We Descend which will be out soon. Thank you guys so much for the support for this book!
