The Diety

There is one grand deity in the Christian religion: God. They are the supreme force, ruler, creator, and life giver. This deity can be divided into two main aspects: The feminine and masculine aspects. These are represented by the sun, as the masculine aspect; and the moon, as the feminine aspect. The Deity's story is told in the Christian bible. Each Aspect hold different spiritual and physical properties. I refer to them as just the sun aspect and moon aspect of God.

The Moon and The Sun are just exactly the right distance away from The Earth so that every now and again The Moon covers The Sun perfectly to create a total Eclipse we call this 'The kiss of the God and Goddess'. Both The Moon and The Sun sustain all life on Earth perfectly.

Moon Deity

~ Mystery & Chaos,Flow & Evolution, Birth & Death, Emotions & Soul, Wisdom & Magick: All of these are qualities we might call "Feminine," and the Moon seems in Wicca to be a very feminine deity.

~ She encompasses the qualities of Wisdom and Magick. She represents life's greatest Mysteries. And She generates an ever-flowing energy field that Wiccans attune to and cooperate with.

~Moon phases create energies that affect us perhaps as much as its gravitational pull does. So understanding the phases of the Moon becomes crucial in working magick. In fact, the Moon's power to affect all living beings is astounding, even though it is barely acknowledged, even by many Pagans.

Sun Diety

~The sun is the symbol of the divine God. In Wicca we celebrate 8 Sun festivals through the year called Sabbats these are the changing of the seasons. The sun is born at the winter solstice, matures in Spring, peaks in Summer, declines in Autumn and winter and is then born again at Winter solstice.

~ The Sun sustains life, it is strength and power and it gives us so much. It keeps us warm, gives us light and seeds the earth and allows growth.

Although there are different aspects, and I may refer to them as the Sun God and Moon Goddess, it is important to remember that The sun and moon are part of one supreme force/being called God. They are the one true God that is to be held above any deity, and worshipped before any aspect of itself.
