When I was still youthful with time on my side, I made a friend
As time passed us by
Come rain or shine
We stayed together
Through thickest of weather
Eventually my heart became his,
to hold in his ignorant hands
I was terrified to tell him
I thought that it might
Tear us apart
So I kept my true feelings
Locked deep inside
As we got older I watched as he fell, under a beautiful blond woman's spell
He moved away
With her by his side
I just stood there
and watched
Waving goodbye
I will always regret not saying something that day
When I realized my heart,
was slipping away
