This first chapter is pretty boring. I promise it will get way better! Thanks!
Hello. My name is Claire. Im 14 years old. But that doesn't matter right now. What matters right now is my past....
"Claire! Hurry up or were going to be late for the swim meet!" It was my mom. " And get your brother too."
"Ok mom! Tim! Get your butt out here! We need to leave soon!" I yelled.
I suddenly felt really tired and dizzy. I shook the horrible feeing off.
Tim is my older brother by two years. His real name is Timothy but everyone called him Tim. He is sometimes very bossy but I know he loves me very much.
"Ok I'm almost ready!" He yelled from upstairs.
After a few more minutes and some rushing around the house, we all piled into the car.
"Ready to go? You didn't forget anything?" My mom asked.
"Nope" Me and my brother replied in unison.
" Are you guys going to swim hard and strong?" My mom asked kinda jokingly.
" Yep. I really wanna beat Kate in the 100 Im" I said My current time is a 1:05:14
I am one of the top swimmers in the state. I love to swim.
After a while, we pulled up into the big parking lot of the pool. We all got out. I went to the back and got my swim bag and headed into the pool. A wave of warm air and the familiar smell of chlorine rushed to me when I entered the warm building. I went to the locker room to change into my race suit. I heard the loud speakers say "Warm-ups start in 10 min.". I hurry out and go find where my team is.
"HI!" I say cheerfully to my coach. "What am I swimming today?"
"Your swimming the 100IM, 200IM, 500Freestyle, and the 100backstroke." He says almost to cheerfully.
" Ugh 500 Freestyle. Do I have to?" I say.
"Yes. Now go check in. And you don't have to, you get to." He says.
I roll my eyes jokingly and walk over to the table where I am supposed to sign in. After I sign in, I spot my brother.
" Looking good in the new suit!" I complement.
"Thanks!" He says and then smiles like an idiot.
I just shake my head.
"You may now get into the pool. Feet first entry." Said the bubbly announcer.
I went over and stalled. I didn't want to get in. My friends get in and tried to splash me. "Ah! The water is so cold!" I said.
"Just get in!" They said smiling.
Then my coach sneaked up from behind me and pushed me into the cold water.
That was my last day that I felt free.....
