Love When Your Ready (A Hayes Grier fanfic)

Chapter 7

I walk in my house and Sam and Lexi are on the couch snuggling. "How was the date?" Sam says looking over the couch.
"Good thanks. How was your night alone." I say winking.
"Good." Lexi says looking at Sam smirking. I gasped. "You didn't did you?" I yelled that the whole house could hear.
"Shh be quiet your so fucking loud." Sam yelled at me.
"So did you?" Sam and Lexi look at each other.
"Yes but don't tell anyone." Lexi said whispers to me.
"OMG that crazy." I say walking up the stairs.

I sit in my room and play on my phone and I start to think. Sam is moving out with Lexi for college and I'm super excited because then I get to move into the basement which is basically an apartment. My parents closed off the basement a year ago to rent out and they never ended up doing that so Sam moved down there and now I get my own mini house. Lexi got her own place with Sam during spring break and they finally are moving in to the place next week. I packed up a lot of my things already and Sam is as well. I drift to sleep and wake up with Sam shaking me.

"What is it?" I say half asleep. Sam is crying and says. "Lexi got in a car accident." Sam cries hard and heavy.
"Calm down let go the hospital." I say beginning to cry. We get and the car and drive as fast as we can. We reach the hospital and see Lexi's family wait. "Can we see her yet?" I say crying holding Sam's shaky hand.
"Yes." The doctor said responding to my question. We walk to her room crying. Lexi is in her room with tubes down her throat, a neck brace and in her leg and arm in casts.
"She came out of surgery 10 minutes ago, we had to place metal rods in her leg to stabiles it." The doctor explains. "She should be awake soon but her breathing has been bad so the tube will help with that when her lungs get more stable we will remove the tubes and wake her up when that happens." The doctor continue saying. Me and Sam stay in the room when her parents leave and talk to doctors. Sam holds her hand crying and kissing her on the forehead. I leave the room leaving Sam and Lexi alone. I can't believe this would happen to some couple like Lexi and Sam. I call Hayes and on the phone crying. "Hello." Hayes says.
"Hayes, my best friend is in the hospital can you please come here." I say with many cries in between.
"On my way babe don't worry. I'm 5 minutes away I will run."
"Thank you, your the best."

I sit in the waiting room as I see Hayes run in. Hayes sees me and I stand up. He walks up to me and hugs me and gives me a kiss. We walk over to the bench outside of Lexi room. Doctors run into Lexi room and Sam runs out crying.
