Nick and I have been married for about 9 months now.

Him and I were both sitting on the couch and he was on his laptop.

I was simply watching Friends on Netflix.

"Babe I just got my work schedule." Nick said tapping my shoulder.

He turned his laptop so it could face me.

Melissa and Joey schedule:

Mon-Fri: 7:45 am to 10:00 pm
Sat: 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

"Nick you're barely gonna be home." I said.

"I know baby, I'm so sorry but I gotta work Y/N." He said gently stroking my hair with his fingertips.

"Yeah you're right." I shrugged.

Two weeks later

It was 11:08 pm. I'm laying in bed reading my book and then I hear the front door open and close gently.

Nick comes up stairs to greet me.

"Hey babe." Nick said kissing my cheek.

I wave not looking up from my book.

"What's wrong?" He asked.

"Nothing." I simply said.

"Seriously, what's wrong?" He asked.

It's just, you're going to be away for so long. I think I might go crazy without you around all day." I said snuggling into his arm.

"Aww, don't worry. I'll be home as soon as possible just to be with you."

*Two months later*
"Nick, where the fuck were you?!" I yelled from the kitchen.

"My buddies invited me to go to the bar for a few drinks. Calm down." He said hanging his jacket up.

"Don't tell me to calm down. Ok, I've been calling you for hours. You were supposed to be here, what, three hours ago?" I asked raising my voice a bit.

"At least I have a social life! My life isn't revolved around you!" He screamed at me. Tears were brimming my eyes.

"What happened?" I asked. He looked confused. "What happened to the old Nick? The one who cared about me, the one who actually loved me? What happened to him?" I asked.

"He died a long time ago." He said grabbing his jacket and walking out the door.

"Where the hell are you going?" I screamed out the door.

"Away from you!"

*One year later*
He never came back. All I ever got from him was a text saying to leave his stuff out on the front porch. I got a divorce paper in the mail a few weeks after that. I signed it knowing he wasn't going to come back. I was going to tell him that I was pregnant, but he never stuck around to hear it. I had a baby girl and named her Natalie, because of the nickname I gave him in high school. She looks so much like him, and every time I look at her I want to cry because of how he left me.

I sold our house and got a smaller townhouse. I still watch him on his show every Wednesday. But I want him to know, that I still love him, even to the day I die.
