Ding dong

   " Come on! You have to do it too, Paige!" Alex, my best friends twin brother shouted.

"Shut up!" Kathy, the other twin, whisper- shouted, " Do u want the whole neighborhood to find out we are the ones ringing there doorbells at 10pm!"

"Ok fine I'll do it. But I'm not going to be the one ringing the doorbell" I replied to Alex.

"Guys it's freaking pouring out here" Chloe said in a annoyed tone,"can we just do it to this last house and go inside please!"

" Jeez ok, let's go" Crystal said, clearly getting annoyed with Chloe.

   Me and my family always have dinners every now and then during the holidays, and we invite my friends and their families. Well, it started pouring rain and someone had the bright idea to come out and go ding dong ditching.... Chloe....

So now, my friend Kathy, her twin brother Alex, my friend Chloe, and her twin sister Crystal, and me are all debating who should ring the doorbell of the final house we are going to do. Oh and I forgot to mention, the house we are doing right now, it's the second time that we are doing it.

"Ok, Paige, this time don't run all the way down the street. The whole point of doing this is to see the people's reactions." said Kathy.

"Ok, I promise I won't. I will stay with u guys the whole time". I replied to Alex, who was heading up the pathway towards their front door.

Kathy, Chloe, Crystal, and me were all hiding behind a truck across the street watching as Alex rang the bell and ran and hid by the front door of the house right next to the one we were ding dong ditching.

We waited for a couple minutes and I started to think that they weren't going to answer the door for the second time. So I stood up from my crouching position behind the car and right when I did the door opened and a person walked out.

I wasn't able to see their face before I was pulled down by Kathy, who was giggling like crazy along with Chloe and Crystal.

"Shhhh guys he's going to find us if he didn't see me already!" I whisper yelled to them.

We were peaking through the windows of the truck right when Crystal decided to drop her phone underneath the truck and start cracking up laughing and freaking out at the same time.

"Guys my phone! Get it Chloe!" She said a little to loudly and the guy turned his head and started walking towards the truck.

"Shhhhhh guys shut up he's coming!" Kathy said to Chloe and Crystal.

" Shoot shoot shoot shoot shoot" I started saying " I told you guys we shouldn't have done this house again!" I technically yelled at them.

" Uh guys..." Kathy said.

"Wha-" I started but realized that the guy had already approached the truck and was staring down at us.

The guy looked a little older than us, probably around 18, and had hair that was most likely brown at one point but was now a dirty blond with green eyes. He was, I'm not even going to lie, beyond handsome.

His green eyes grazed over us slowly.

" Y'all gotta..." his eyes landed on me "... stop..." He said with pauses in between.

"Ugh, hey.... Umm... Hi". I replied awkwardly, feeling my checks heat up with his eyes still trailed on me."We're really sorry but this was definitely not my idea er... well... At least not this time. Just uh... Yeah sorry." I said all at once. I hope he's like not that kind of person that's going to call the cops on us.

"Hey do I know you?" He said directed to me.

"Well I'm your neighbor" I said pointing to my house a couple houses down from his "and I'm a junior at Ridger high, if you go there or something".

Chloe nudged me with her elbow a little too hard "Way to give all our information away" she said giving me death stare.

I just looked at her from the corner of my eye trying not to acknowledge the tiny throbbing pain on my arm from where her elbow made contact.

"Oh well, hi" he said giving me a slight wave of his hand "Names' Justin, but everyone calls me JT" he said, still looking at me not even acknowledging the presence of my friends.

" Oh I'm hey" I said a little awkwardly, God he was hot " I'm Paige, this is Chloe, Crystal and Kathy" I said, introducing me and my crew.

I realized that we were still crouching down by the truck and he was looking down at us (well,me) so I decided to stand up, slowly still looking at him, with Crystal right after and then Kathy and Chloe at the same time.

"Hello?" Said Chloe snapping her fingers in front of JT's face and looking back and forth between me and him "why don't you take a picture it will last longer" she said sarcastically and his neck started to get red and he looked away from me and to the ground, which made my knees get weak. Wow, leave it to Chloe to say something like that.

"Uh.. Ha.. Sorry" he said looking up back at me from under his eyelashes. Holy crap... That was so freaking adorable.

"Hey my mom just texted me saying we we're gonna get going" Kathy said looking from her phone back up to me. "ALEX! You can come out now we have to go!" She yelled out. I completely forgot that Alex was hiding by that other house.

"OK!" He screamed back "Is that one guy finally gone-" he stopped in the middle of his sentence, realizing that JT was still outside, and ran back to his hiding spot.

"Wow he's so stupid... ALEX HE KNOWS WE DID IT!" Kathy screamed to her brother and he came back out.

"What happened?" Alex asked as he came walking towards the truck giving JT a suspicious look. "Did we get caught?" He asked.

"Noooo.." Kathy said sarcastically "We're just talking to our victim telling him how great it was to ding dong ditch his house, OF COURSE WE GOT CAUGHT YOU STUPID IDIOT!"

"Jeez sorry, I was just wondering" he said putting his hands up in a surrendering motion.

"Hey man I'm JT" JT said sticking his hand out to Alex, who took it and did a weird man handshake thingy.

"What's up, I'm Alex"

"Guys we seriously have to go now" Kathy said.

"Yeah I think we have to go to" Crystal said motioning towards her and Chloe.

"Uh guys I'll meet you back at the house" I said to my friends.

"You sure Paige?" Chloe said in a worried tone.

"Yeah, just gotta settle things here" I said.

"Ok" Chloe answered back and with that they starting walking back towards my house but not before Alex put both his hands in a fist and did a "get some" motion with his whole body.

"Asshole..." I said under my breath.

"What?"JT said

"Uh nothing sorry. So um about the whole 'ding dong' thing, we're good right?" I asked looking at him in the eye.

"Yeah, of course" he said looking back at me directly in the eye too. I swear if his eyes remain on me any longer I'm going to melt.

I don't know how long I stood there but he started to lean down and I knew what was coming.

His lips were cold, it had stopped raining but he was still cold because it was like 40 degrees out.

I did something weird, I kissed him back.
