The White Room

When I came to, I was lying on my backing a hard, cold surface, as if I was lying on a block of ice. "Where... Where am I?" I muttered to myself. As soon as I opened my eyes, I came face to face with a white wall. Sitting straight up, I realized that I was stuck in a white room, with four other people. 

I saw something floating above their heads, as well as mine. It was a username. I quickly read them to find out their names. A scarlet-haired girl named Rachel, a brown-haired boy named Cory, a black-haired boy named Rob as well as a blond-haired girl named Lucy.

Soon after, the four of them started waking up one by one. As soon as all of us were awake, we questioned each other to find out if any one of us knew what had happened. We concluded that this had to be related to 'Virtual Reality'. However, we were curious why we were the only ones stuck in that white room when there were 10,000 copies of the game sold.

Suddenly, a mysterious figure emerged from one corner of the room. It said," Welcome to 'Virtual Reality' The five of you are the chosen ones. The rest of the gamers are locked up in cells, unable to escape the game. Every single move you make will affect what quests you have to complete in order to gain freedom. Once you complete all the quests assigned to you, you will receive the key to unlock the door of freedom. Once you unlock the door, all five of you and the other gamers will be sent back to the real world. You will find the starting quest and future quests in those books." 

As it said that, a book appeared in each of our hands. Once the books appeared, the figure started to fade. The white room had started to fade away as well, revealing to us that we were in the middle of a park. What was strange was that this park was the exact replica of Central Park, which is located in New York. 

"This is so strange..." I muttered.
