"We've been out here for three hours. We've only seen animals, insects and trees. I'm also starving, and I keep getting bit by mosquitos." James swatted the air around him.

"I didn't ask, James." Orion dismissed

"Ori, I understand that you want to make us heroes, but don't you think this is a little much? I mean, we don't even know if this thing exists," James crossed his arms and waited for a response.

Orion examined the area before jumping to the next tree."Why would the guards lie to us?" He said, and jumped to the tree over.

James followed. "Maybe because you've been asking them for months about work. We don't even need to make money; we're funded by the empire," James responded.

"Trust me, this time," Orion assured. James put his hand on his forehead and let out sigh. Orion curled his upper lip and scratched his curly black hair, his light brown skin blending in with the bark on the trees, leaving him undetected. Orion was not focused on his best friend's complaining, he felt forced to focus on the task at hand. Find the thing haunting the outskirts of the city, and destroy it. That's all he could think about, nothing was more important than his duty. The boys jumped down into the grass, their footprints leaving marks on the dirty.

James was not the least bit excited. He only came with Orion so he wouldn't hurt himself; he would rather be sleeping, or spending time with his girlfriend. James was always used to being around the prettiest girls. He was the kingdoms heartthrob, he kept his brown hair messy, just the way his girlfriend (and every other girl) liked it, despite spending most of his time leisurely he was able to keep his figure by going on training missions with Orion. Even though he never wants to hunt demons he's always here for his friend and that's what matters most to him.

Orion stopped walking and put his hand out so James would stop too.

"What? What's wrong? What're you looking at?" James asked. Orion remained quiet. He shuddered as if a piercing cold wind had impaled his soul. "You ok, Ori?" James asked concerned. He turned away from the clearing and looked wide eyed at James.

"This is what we've been waiting for." He smiled almost maniacally "We have finally received our calling," James looked at the clearing and walked forward ignoring Orion.

"It's probably nothing," James walked on forwad. Orion went to follow him but hesitated, he took a deep breath preparing for the worst as he nearly charged into the clearing. James stood perfectly still, his eyes wide with fear. He looked at his hands as they shook wildly, his legs trembling.

"I've never felt anything like this, it's aura is outstanding."

"I know," Orion expressed. "Being in its mere presence dissuades you, but we must eliminate it."

James rid himself of his fear, and walked into the clearing.

"I hate it when you're right," He complained.

Orion entered the clearing after him. Lying on a boulder in front of the two boys was a giant, humanoid looking beast. It had a bulls head and lower half, with black fur, a large golden hoop nose ring, and two large white horns on its head. The beasts lower body was wrapped in a large brown cloth. Its bare skin was tan colored and extremely muscular, and his hooves were covered in dirt and grime from the ground.

"A Minotaur. This is a unique type of demon, I don't think there's ever been a recorded sighting of one," Orion said, examining the monster.

"Well legend or not, it's sleeping right there in front of us," James commented.
