"Eleanor?"

"Ethan?" I mimicked under the safety of my blanket.

"Eleanor."

"What?!"

"Get the hell up."

"And why would I do that?"

"Cause it's already 7:25."

Crap. I jolted up and ran to my bathroom. I wash my face with this new peppermint scrub I bought at Lush and brush my teeth. I brushed through my hazel hair. It's waist length and slowly changes to lime green near the tips. I throw on my black skinny jeans, my new indigo top and black high top converse. I then race down the stairs and I'm greeted by my wonderful brother. "Good morning Ethan."

"Nice sleep Eleanor?"

"Yes 'till a demon decided to wake me up for this hell called school."

"Well Elea (pronounced like ilea) our parents are in fact paying for us to go to this 'school' so we have to go."

"I know. It's easy for you to say, you're a senior."

"You will be too next year am I right?"

"Yeah another year and this one practically just started."

"Yeah lets go. Like right now." Ethan opens the door to his Black Honda Civic for me and I get in shotgun. He gets in the driver's seat and starts the engine.

Let me give you a quick descriptive on Ethan and I. Ethan has dirty blonde hair compared to my hazel hair. He got dad's grey eyes while I got mom's brown eyes. While Ethan stands at 6' 1, I am 5' 5.

The drive to school is quiet. I would in fact drive myself but why when you have a brother who could do it for you. I looked out the window and see that there are still traces of puddles from the drizzle this morning. I close my eyes lightly and quickly doze off. After about 10 minutes of added sleep Ethan taps my shoulder lightly before whispering, "Elea we're here."

I groan and rub my eyes. I thank my brother for yet another car ride and get off. As Ethan parks his car I head inside. I walk to my locker shocked to see Janine and Matthew already waiting for Ethan and I. "Morning guys."

"Hey you look better than most days." Janine stops doing her makeup and looks at me.

"Yeah like you seem a bit happier than your usual morning moods." Matthew said.

"Probably because Dad gave me my allowance earlier."

"Oh he was home?"

"Nope he left it on the counter with a note."

Dear Eleanor and Ethan,

I'm sorry I wasn't able to give you guys your allowances in person.

Work called. Apparently someone tried burning up one of our restaurants again.

Lunatics. Anyways, have fun in school Elea. Ethan, don't get into trouble again please.

Haha.

XOXO,

Dad

"Again?"

"Yeah. Again." Me and Ethan deadpanned in unison.

"Yo dude. Your dad said don't get into trouble... Again." Matthew said before erupting with laughter.

"Matthew, Ethan; Elea and I have to head to class now. Bye." Janine said finishing her eyeshadow which makes her brown eyes bigger and hand combed her brown hair then killed Matthew's little fit before dragging me to our first period. Mathematics.

"Well that will be it class. Remember to finish your homework." Ms. Ashley said while finishing up fixing her desk. I nodded and grabbed my books.

"Hey Elea."

"Bye Elea."

"Hot as ever Elea.

"See you Elea." Those were all I heard from the boys who passed me. Dumb dumbs.

"Elea."

"Janine."

"I don't understand why you hate the attention. I'd freaking rub it in your face if I had it."

"That's why you don't."

"Haha funny." Janine deadpanned then grabbed her books following me in suit. We were walking to our second period which was Chemistry with Mrs. Hailey. Mrs. Hailey is actually very pretty. And pretty young. She is 23 and she completely understands us.

If this were some sort of cliché then she would be that art teacher who most of the boys swoon over and who girls have their nails done with.

I scanned the room as usual and saw a new kid. He was sitting in the desk next to mine but not Janine's. He was on the one to my left. I went to my desk leaving Janine to get her stuff from her locker and sat in my desk and turned to my left and noticed he wasn't looking at me or anywhere near me. In fact his face was positioned so acutely that I could examine his face and he wouldn't notice.

He had a nice shade of brown hair and a brown quiff. He had light brown eyes to match his hair and he had a fair complexion. He was wearing black rimmed glasses as well as a shirt of some band I haven't heard of with the sleeves folded once or twice. He paired them with black jeans and black Super Star's.

Out of nowhere he turned around and was looking at me... completely. I froze. Does he think I was staring at him? Does he think I'm creepy now? Oh no. Way to go Eleanor. Best first impression ever. Where the hell is Mrs. Hailey whe-

"Hi I'm Uriah, Uriah Ostens." He said holding his hand out for me to shake.

"Oh uhm. Hi Uriah. I'm Eleanor, Eleanor McVey."

"Nice to meet you Eleanor. Wow do you have a nickname?"

"Well people call me Elea."

"Elea is just as pretty as Eleanor might I say." At this point I could point out he had a faint British accent.

"I'm sorry but are you British?"

"Yes I am. My mom's side."

"Oh I've always wanted to go to London actually."

"Maybe I could take you there?"

"Haha yeah sure I gue-" Mrs. Hailey walked through the door looking rather flustered and looks at the whole class like we've done something sinister.

"Oh I'm sorry guys. I just accidentally fell asleep during the boring teacher attendance thing."

I heard people sighing in relief. Uriah and I looked at each other and simply smiled.
