DragoelX's POV

That's when I saw him, out of the corner of my eye was a Meinfoo about my height,Haxorus' words seemed to slur over me as I glared at him. He had a smirk on hiss face and the way he stood in the corner of the room didn't make me trust him, but I shouldn't judge what I don't, I'm still glad I was wary though. He hadn't noticed me but he had noticed Amber's concerned expression and he made his move, he was going to train with Amber later, more like flirt with her, oh well. What did I care? Dragoel must've noticed my own displeased expression and he nudged me drawing my attention. "Listen to Haxorus, he has some important stuff to say" he scolded but I still felt annoyance build up inside 'She's going to be part of our team, not his' I thougt in disgust. "It'll be one on one battles to test your skills, the winner of the battle does not determine whether you can become part of my dojo." Haxorus said, I wasn't sure who I was going to pair up with, I really wasn't that close to anyone so I would wait and see who would choose me.

After we were briefed Dragoel and I left for the cantine, Clefairy was cooking up something good and we wanted to be first to try it. We sat down with our gummi delights and I decided to get to know Dragoel better, before I could start asking, Amber came to sit with us. "Hey Amber!" Dragoel exclaimed in an upbeat tone. I wasn't so eager to greet her but I feinted a smile which she fell for luckily. "Hey guys, how are you doing?" I decided to pretend I was distracted by my meal. I was a terrible liar so I decided to avoid the question altogether. Dragoel shot daggers at me but I ignored them and so he continued to say "We're not doing too bad actually, looking forward to Haxorus' test. I heard from a Helioisk that there was some sort of trial of elements. Cool huh?" I wished I were still a trainer and could return Dragoel to his pokeball. "Anyway... Let's get going."

The apple core I rolled in my hand was the object of interest for me as I walked; it distracted me from the upcoming  trial I was expecting. The seeds were familiar, the apples in the human world mustn't have been different at all if memories of it's taste were vibrant in my mind.
