There were several rules we had to follow at home. Lying, spending the night at a friend's house, and cursing were forbidden. These were such easy rules yet I crossed one rule, which is lying.
I live with my parents and brothers in a shabby, old and dull house. I grew up working and helping my mother in cleaning other people's house which was exhausting. In order to have lunch we had to work, hard. My father works as a carpenter, my mother as a maid and my older brother Max as a barista in a coffee shop and my younger brother Jackson studies in a school.
I didn't face problems in school because the school I used to go to was cheap and all the students families were as poor as my family but when I got the scholarship to Stanford University, everything changed. Stacy, my neighbor who I absolutely love is quite rich, she gives me her used outfits out of kindness which is very generous of her. Showing the students in SU that I'm actually a poor person makes me unhappy, the feeling of having people judging me makes me feel bad for myself.
My brother Max, didn't go through the same feeling of anxiety because he stopped going to school when he was in grade 10.
There are two girls that I have met from before and they go by the names of Bailey and Sophie. They're quite sweet and generous which makes me feel at ease when I'm around them.
Tomorrow begins the second week of university and so far no one has seen my old, dirty red Toyota Celica Supra Car and my old Nokia 3310 which barely receives text messages and phone calls.
