Yes it is final, I have come to a decision. Backwards Alice must come into existence. I am sure I will find something that I missed the first time round I devoted poems of Six lines of six to this book. I think it just may work. So to start this venture to see what will come of backward imaginings. I hope Alice is up to this?
Backwards Alice.
The End, of Summer days,
The childlike hazy ways
where joys and pleasures
are found in the dreams and imaginings
Of Wonderland, of so long ago
Looking back, now aged, Oh Alice.... remembering
Have I kept that simple heart?
Deep within this shell of adult bones
Of adult flesh, the fully ripened self...
Like the blooms of flowers in a garden
There my childhood memories still rest
I suppose this is all we have for the best....this remembering
Yes reminisce, Alice and believe
within your heart the child self still sits.
As queen over your Adult self just as
Your little sister, the one and the same.
No fear of growing aged, just acceptance.
As your old hand now holds an old photograph, you smile.
From the heavy sobs of Mock Turtle
To the distant lowing of a cow
Another sounds vibrated behind those closed eyes
Alice rememberings of all those happenings
Within the farmland all those other sounds ocupied her mind ,
Yes! Even the sneezing baby drowned out reality.
Backwards now you step,
into the second last paragraph,
As you lay eyes closed to reality
Dreams flicker across closed lids
You hear the tinkling of sheep- bells
To be drowned out by the shrill cries.... OFF WITH YOUR HEAD one last time!
Turtle Mock Miserable sobs
mixed with choking guinea-pigs,
and Lizard's pencil on slate squeaking
over the Gryphon's shrieking
and breaking clashing plates
With the Duchess's knee ocupied by the baby sneezing.
Alice Backwards you step.

Backwards Alice.
PoetryHere I will work backwards through Alice in Wonderland so I can at least write about those things I missed the first time round. Also, having the Adventures rolled out like a film being played backwards may just bring with it a few amazing surprises...
