Maggie walks into school. She is dressed very nicely with a bow in her hair and her makeup perfect. Today is the day that she will tell him. Maggie has liked Justin for as long as she can remember. They talk all the time but they aren't incredibly close. They flirt in the halls and sometimes during class but he never knew she actually liked him. She walks through the halls, everyone looks kinda glum. She wonders what's going on but keeps to herself, nothing will ruin this day. She opens up her locker and grabs her things. Algebra, fun! She thinks sarcastically as she slams her locker and walks to class. She sits down in her seat, Ms. Schwabb hasn't walked in yet. She looks at her best friend Mya who is looking down at her desk, obviously upset. "What's wrong, and why does everyone seem so glum today?" Maggie asks. "You didn't hear?!" Mya says back kinda loud. "No, what happened?!" Maggie says back, worried and shocked. Everyone around is looking at them. "WHAT?!" Maggie yells getting even more worried. "J-", Ms. Schwabb then walks in, you can tell she's been crying. The announcements start. They do the pledge of allegiance, and then there's a sudden silence. The principal then proceeds "It is with a heavy heart that I inform you, we have lost a student early this morning due to a drunk driving accident. Justin Bieber was hit head on by an accused drunk driver and died on impact." as the words are said Maggie's heart sinks. A single tear slides down her cheek as she feels her heart break into a million pieces. She then looks to the back of the class. An empty seat. How did she not notice? The principal continues on with the announcements and Maggie's heart just sinks deeper and deeper. Ms. Schwabb gets up from her seat and stands in front of the class. She puts her hands together and says "I know today is a sad day, but we must continue." She goes on with a lesson on square roots, but Maggie can't pay attention. She's just staring into space, praying this is just a dream. Finally, the bell rings and Maggie rushes out. She makes it to second period, Spanish. "Puedo ere el bano?" shes says. "Sí Senorita" Mrs. Kile replies. Maggie half walks half jogs to the bathroom. She runs in and grabs a stall slamming the door shut. She pounds her fists on the walls and her eyes well up with tears. She sits on the toilet and sobs violently, no control whatsoever, but she can't help it. She tries to calm herself down but the tears just won't stop. How? How could this be?! He can't be dead, no! This isn't true, it just can't be! Then suddenly, Hannah runs in the bathroom. "Maggie are you okay?! You've been in here for 15 minutes!" she yells, running to the stall she's in. Maggie takes out her ipod, Shoot I have been in here for 15 minutes, she thinks. She wipes her eyes and unlocks the stall, but it's no use her makeup is smeared and her eyes are bloodshot. "Mrs. Kile sent me for you, we were worried" Hannah says. "Maggie what's gotten into you?" Maggie then looks Hannah in the eyes and she can't hold it in. She let's out a sob and hugs Hannah. "Justin's dead!" she yells almost too loud. Hannah hugs her back tight, comforting her. "I know, I know, everyone is upset. By why are you so upset?" Maggie hesitates but then just let's out in a whisper "I liked him a lot..." she says as a single tear rolls down her cheek. "Awh hun, I'm so sorry." Hannah says patting her back. "...and today I-I was gonna tell him how I felt" she's says with a sad little laugh, still faintly crying. "Awh..." Hannah starts to tear up. "Let's get back to class" Hannah says wiping Maggie's tears. They walk back to class and go on with the day, Hannah and Mya by her side. After school, Maggie walks home. "Hiya Maggie, how about some cake? I made it today, Red Velvet, your favorite" her mom says beaming. "No mom, I really can't" Maggie's mom walks up to her, frowning. "What's wrong, Mags?" I can't tell my mom! Maggie thinks. She doesn't know I like anyone how could I possibly tell her. "It's nothing, just a bad day" she says quietly. "You sure?" her moms says very concerned. "Yeah." she says and goes upstairs to her room. Maggie spends the rest of her night laying in her bed thinking about this terrible, terrible day. How could it be? Why him? Why on this day? And what about me for this matter? Why couldn't I have manned up and told him earlier? At least he would have known. She picks up her ipod and clicks onto Instagram. She goes to Justin's page and scrolls through the pictures, laughing at the goofy ones, and smiling at the normal ones. She then comes across a picture of the two of them. Arms around each other, big smiles, and drinks in hand. What a fun night that was, she thinks to herself. She screenshots the picture and makes it her screensaver. She then has an idea. Maybe this will make me feel a little better. She clicks back onto Instagram and goes to Justin's page she clicks the dm button and begins typing. "Dear Justin, I don't know if you can see this but if you can, I'm uber glad. I've been working up the nerve to tell you this for the longest time, and finally, I've gotten the urge. A tad too late but, better than never... right?" She bites her lip, fighting back tears. "I like you. A lot. I always have. I wouldn't be surprised if you could already tell. I've liked you since I met you, so much I might even be able to call it love, actually." Tears are now streaming down her face. "I never got to tell you, for fear of what you would think. I finally decided to tell you, but my heart sank when I realized... it was too late. I'm really going to miss you. Party hard up there and never stop smiling, that smile is ever so beautiful. Much love, Maggie xx". She sends the message and locks her ipods as she pulls her knees to her chest and sobs quietly so her parents won't hear. The tears just keep coming as she sobs, and sobs, and sobs. Suddenly, she sees her ipod flash, she looks at her ipod to see a notification, "@justinbieber has read your message", her heart pounds. Then, another notification. She unlocks her ipod and looks. On her screen is a heart sent from Justin's account. This can't be! Wait, don't get yourself worked up, it's probably just his parents or siblings." She locks her ipod and curls back up in a ball. Little did she know, Justin's phone was still lying on the ground at the scene of the crash, where he had died earlier that morning.
The End.
