Letting 'em Know

3 weeks later
I slowly open my eyes and lift my head off Joe's chest. I look up to see him peacefully asleep. I grin and press my lips gently against his. I slowly sit up and check the time on my phone. The time is 8:25 a.m. I have a missed call from Brie. I move the covers off my legs and jump down from the bed. I quickly walk out the door and down the stairs. When I arrive to the living room I dial Brie's number and wait for her to answer.

"Hello?"

"Hey, how are you?"

"I'm fine, sorry it took this long, I had to deal with my stubborn sister. You said you had something to tell us?"

"I do. I just want to tell you guys in person. How about lunch later?"

"Um... sure. I'll let Nikki know."

I smile and say "Brie, I miss you guys." Then I hang up before she can answer.

I run back upstairs and jump in bed. I'm too anxious to go back to sleep so I just lay there with my eyes closed, head on Joe's chest and hand on my unborn child.

"What was that about?" I slowly open my eyes and look up to Joe.

"I didn't mean to wake you, I'm so sorry. But Brie called me back & we're having lunch today," I answer.

He smiles and wraps his arms around me. "I'm glad to hear that. I know you've been missing them." He kisses the top of my head and somehow I fall back asleep.

Joe decided to take the kids to his house for the day while I have my lunch with the twins. I'm honestly not sure what to expect, but I really do hope they'll be there for me & my baby.

I'm sitting here, alone, palms sweaty and knee shaking. I'm still not completely sure why I'm so nervous but I am. Other than Trinity and Joe, they're going to be the first people I tell that I am pregnant. You can't really tell from far away, or up close really. I'm pretty sure no one can tell.

I see Brie walk in first and Nikki in tow. I smile and get up from my seat to greet them. When they get to the table I'm hug each one. I know I have the most cheesy smile on my face but I can't help it, I've genuinely missed them.

"How've you girls been?" I ask sitting back in my seat.

"We've been busy, doing shows and stuff," Nikki replys.

"Nothing new," I joke.

"Is there anything new with you?" Brie asks raising her eyebrows. "You did say you wanted to tell us something."

"Okay," I let out a slow breath of air, "when I tell you this you cannot freak out."

"Freak out? Why would we freak out?" Brie starts to ask then I see both she and Nikki's face light up. "No, don't tell me-"

"I'm pregnant!" I cut her off. They both jump up and give me a hug. I can't do anything but laugh in relief. This could've gone in a whole different direction.

"Congrats!" Nikki says while still hugging me. They finally let go and sit back in their seats. The waiter comes and we order. Having been here a million times, there was no need to look at the menu.

"Wait... who's the baby's daddy?" Nikki asks.

Somewhat taken aback, I answer "Joe's."
