Hey guys! This is my first time EVER posting here! Please be gentle. This is just an introduction to something that could develop depending on everyone's reactions. I wanna make it clear right away, I wont be very good at updating if this does become popular. Try to be understanding. Anyways, have fun and I hope you enjoy!

It all began one winter day. I was sitting by myself. Sipping on my coffee, I typed away on the keyboard of my laptop. It was a cold day, with snow falling from the sky and covering the ground. The snow whitened the streets.Being a 24 year old bachelor, my life was calm. I'd moved away from my family three years ago and spent my free time writing stories. Naturally, I'd gotten bored of the single life. I was trying a whole bunch of dating websites, but I believe I was being too specific.
I'd drifted off into my thoughts and stopped writing. I didn't realize I was staring outside until a bus arrived at it's stop, bringing me back down to earth. And then I saw her. She got off the bus and turned towards the café. She was beautiful. Long brown hair that fell in her face, intense blue eyes, a short black leather coat and yellow beanie on her head. I didn't realize I was staring until she turned and looked at me. Our eyes met as I felt the blood rush towards my cheeks. Immediately, I broke eye contact and looked down at my computer screen.
My heart was racing. I heard the café door open, followed by footsteps that did nothing but get louder.
"Is this seat taken?" She asked.
I looked up, only to open my mouth and let out a very feminine squeal. I then close my mouth and nod, inviting her to sit. She understands my message and takes a seat. She takes out her laptop from her bag and places it on the table. The silence lasted a few minutes. We both kept typing, occasionally peeking up and making eye contact for a fraction of a second, before looking back down at our screens.
I closed my eyes, took a deep breath and folded down my laptop.
"Jack." I introduce myself.
She smiles at me and does the same.
"Jennifer." She replies.
In that moment, nothing else mattered. We went on, talking about our lives, what we did for a living, the ups and downs of our life so far. We didn't watch the time pass and light outside grew dark.
We exchanged phone numbers and walked outside. We both started walking in the same direction so we continued our conversation. I hadn't realized our slight height difference. She wasn't too small but she would need to be on her tippy-toes to be face to face with me. We reached the street corner and shared a look.
"I'm going left." I said.
"I'm going right." She sighed.
We stared into each other's eyes, sparkly little snowflakes landed on her eyelashes. She took a couple steps closer, got on her tippy-toes and kissed my lips. We held each other for a few seconds before she pulled away and broke the kiss.
"I'll call you." I said, breaking the silence.
"I'll keep my phone close." She replied.
She slowly backed away before turning around and walking down the snow covered street. I watched her walk away into the beautiful night. As I stood there in silence, I knew this was the beginning of something great.
